Translucent, orange-copper in color with a HUGE light tan head when poured. The head persists and then leaves a small layer of foam on the surface of the beer and lacing on the sides of the glass. Nice mild malty-hoppy aroma; made me want to drink the beer. Nice smooth slightly sweet, malty taste with a dry hoppy finish on the sides of your tongue. The dry finish did make the beer very thirst quenching; I needed some water after having the beer. Light body with smooth, light carbonation. Very nice beer. I liked the combination of a hoppy lager.

This so-called "imperial lager," which by virtue of being a pilsner of supposed imperial strength (definitely true) technically is, fits with my notion in its chill-hazed but clearing medium gold color and soft, fluffy white head. The head itself reaches a pretty good height and leaves mostly spotting that seems to try to branch out.
The smell is very difficult to place, but with time I think it's just extremely (and unusually) dank, maybe a bit of must and cardboard coming out with a strong earthy and floral hops. There's a note of exotic, fleshy fruits and sweetness that, when put all together, makes it seem a little odd at first. It does mingle together well with time.
It ends up being quite hoppy on the tongue, a bit spicy with mostly floral notes along with some herb and fruits (not so sweet this time) working out.
It has the body, medium and not too heavy for a pils, with a nice backbone of crispness leading into smoothness as a touch of grass, leaf and herb provide soft dryness on the palate.

Been loving these guys of late and pours a orange amber hue with a creamy off white two finger head and some nice tight clingy lacing, the smell is gooseberries, kiwi fruit and boiled candy, the mouthfeel is full bodied with moderate carbonation and near on perfect with tastes of sweet berries, kiwi fruit, candy malts and finished with a herbal bitter sweetness and overall don't let the brown paper bag fool you this is a rippa of a beer cheers.

Pour bronzed with excellent white head and head retention.
Nose is strong citrus and pine. Bit of a lager dryness to it. Citrus and citrus rind, lots of oranges. Tangello, fermenting fruits.
Taste is about the rind and a substantial but kind of nondescript maltiness. Stonefruit.
Mouthfeel feels thick and syrupy and has a bit of sweet n sourness to it but is kept dry by, I think, the lager yeast. Cuts off the sweetness.
A solid offering but could have been improved if the ABV was a little lower imo, would result in less maltiness and a beer more akin to My Antonia

Green 375ml wrapped up and disguised in...wait for it...a brown paper bag. Described as a hoppy imperial lager.Poured a bit in a glass for appearance reasons but drinkin' the rest of it straight out of the bottle, bag attached.
Appearance - Dark orange/amber color with a beige head. Just a bit of haze, good head retention, some lace.
Smell - Hops burst from the nose, surprising amount of strength to start with but does fade a bit after time. Plenty of good citrus lemon tropical leafy dank. There is light caramel sweetness and some toasted malt as well.
Taste - Not quite the hop bomb of the scent but quite nice as well, a bit more balance here. Definitely a lager feel with toastiness, grains, and light toffee; hop flavors of citrus, grassy, floral, earthy.
Mouthfeel - Smooth and somewhat big feel to it with a nice carbonation level/foaminess to it. Some alcohol shows through but this is quite drinkable for the ABV. Low-medium bitterness, well-balanced.
Overall - With the brown bag shtick I thought this may lean towards straight-up malt liquor, pleasantly surprised by a nice hop profile on top of a big tasty lager base. I'd drink this in an alley anytime.
