Sometimes you just wonder how wheaty an IPA can get? Or how hoppy a wheat ale can be? Those questions combined quickly leads to product development on a high scientific level. As we are men of science, we got to work on this combination.
Mr. White is what came about during this process. An Double India Wheat Ale. Combing all the firm body and mouthfeel from a wheat beer, combined with the floral, citrousy flavours of Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic and Amarillo. Brewed with a bit of dextrose to lighten the body and accentuate the other aromas. This is the wheat beer that used to lack some fruity touch. Or this is the IPA that needed some mouthfeel. We are very happy about the results and hope the same for all of you!

A 330ml bottle with a BB of Jan 2017, so it's a little out of date. To be fair, I've had this stashed away for quite a while - hope it's still good. Described on the label as a Double India Wheat Ale; hopped with Simcoe, Mosaic and Amarillo.
A: Poured into a Duvel tulip. Bottle conditioned. A very hazy orange-amber hue with plentiful floating sediment and moderate carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a while before settling as a thick surface layer. Looks like a wheat beer should.
S: Aroma of fruity hops with notes of citrus, mild tropical fruit, subtle pine, bready wheat, earthiness and a twinge of alcohol. To be fair, the booze is well hidden. Pretty good.
T: Tastes of sharp, fruity hops with hints of grapefruit, peel, citrus, vague tropical fruit, faint pine, earthy yeast and a whisper of husky wheat. Dominated by hops; a strident bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, thick and lightly tingly - hop oils stimulate the palate. Soft carbonation. Aftertaste of bitter fruity hops, earthy yeast and faint wheat.
O: A nice brew, even with age on it. Looks good, while the aroma and flavour are decidedly fruity. Hops are king and the wheat is surprisingly subdued, almost to the point of going unnoticed. Nice body - low carbonation but creamy. Not wildly dissimilar to a regular imperial IPA; I'm not sure the wheat would be obvious if it weren't pointed out. That said, it's still a solid beer that goes down a treat. Tasty stuff.

Into a Weizen glass she goes, pushing a bit of green bottle skunk into the room in the process. Opaque burnt orange with two-fingers of tan froth. Slight herbal hops and light fruits to the nose. Plenty of ripe peaches and grapefruit up front and a dollop of grain, all quickly followed by a fine hop bite and a prickly alcohol heat at the end. Creamy all the way through and medium in body.
Kinda fun drinking with no obvious flaws, but a likely one-timer, which works out fine since this one is retired anyway.

Poured from an undated green bottle into the modified tulip.
A - A bit hazy white, wonderful frothy cap, and a steady stream of carbonation.
S - Skunked front end, a bit hard to get through, some muted hops and a bit of alcohol.
T - The wheat aspect is quite interesting, the hops are ever present, and the flavors are
unfortunately masked behind a bad bottle.
F - Medium bodied and very effervescent.
O - I will be looking for another bottle, the base was simply elegant, I look forward to another try.
Cheers

Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, tropical fruit, and alcohol aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and slight tropical fruit flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty, but the hop aspects are slightly better in the smell to me.

Hazy strawberry blonde with web of white film. 3.75
Mashed peach, yeast and flowers on the nose. 3.75
Oyster crackers, squeeze of lemon, lime rind, blueberry, and grapefruit hops. 4.5
Passionfruit and tangerine sorbet end and ringing Pinesol linger.
Creamy, some hop oil, slight heat. 4
Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic, Amarillo
Wolf in sheep’s clothing: normal wheat looks, but hops 8 ways from Sunday, especially Simcoe with some tropical Mosaic. And barely hints at 9.9%. The best kind of trouble. 4.25

A: The beer is very hazy dark yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that quickly died down, leaving a collar around the edge of the glass and some lacing on the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of citrusy, spicy, and piney hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste has lots of flavors of citrusy and spicy hops; no underlying malts are really noticeable. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. A bit of crispness is noticeable.
O: The use of wheat in this beer is interesting as it really lightens up the body, making it lighter compared to other IPAs. It manages to hide its alcohol very well.
