330ml bottle, some old-seeming and pandering western expansion photo imagery on the label.

This beer pours a rather hazy, pale golden amber hue, with a fistful of puffy, stocky, and shiny ecru head, which leaves some layered streaky, sudsy lace around the glass as things duly recede.

It smells of bitter orange cream, pine needles and petrichor, biscuity pale malt, restrained caramel, faint tropical fruit - maybe a touch of pineapple and kiwi - and further leafy, musty, and perfumed floral hops. The taste is gritty pale malt, chalky caramel, muddled forest greenery - the pine fused with leaves, twigs, and musty undergrowth - sharp citrus notes, both domestic grocery aisle and more far-flung in origin, a bit of white pepper, and a perfumed floral essence that does well to stay even and noninvasive.

The bubbles are pretty sedate, barely kicking up a fuss for anything beyond the initial outburst (head - amirite?), the body a decent medium weight, and more smooth than I might have been expecting, given this particular hop-bill, but a wee bit clammy too. It finishes off-dry, just a smidge, as the now biscuity malt flails about, in the face of some seriously lingering, world-spanning hop bitterness.

Good stuff, the hops are large and in charge, even as the malt does well to play the supportive secondary role, for the most part. Any effect from the 7.1% ABV is generally sublimated into the floral character, as noted, and is a real bonus as such. I can take or leave the marketing angle here - the beer speaks well enough for itself.

Poured from a bottle into a shaker pint, the beer is a hazy, sediment filled, copper-gold coloring with a tall, frothy, dense, chunky, off-white head that clings all over the glass. Aromas of tropical fruit forward, rich and sweet, with some subtle cedar notes. Very fruity. Flavors are a roast and sweet balance forward, almost like a tropical fruit jam spread on toast. Butterscotch in the backbone, with some pepper spice and grassy highlights. Very light bodied, with an almost astringent finish. The aftertaste is tartly sweet, with a more citrus based lean in the fruit characteristics. Interesting brew.

330ml bottle. Shaker glass. Enjoyed @ Freiburg (Barcelona). Brass color, chill haze appearance. Off-white froth creates a creamy crown that leaves a rocky top & a wide ring on sides while dissipated. Aromas of gentle citrics & resins. Malty upfront, subtle funky & spicy touch. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Hints of chocolate in the middle rounded by citric notes & orange juice touch provides an astringent sensation. Sweet/bitter finish. Pineapple & resins arise on the aftertaste. ABV well masked is just shown as a kind heat into the finish.
