Dull bronze - dark for a lager - with solid creamy white head that instantly rims and trails.
Subtle citrus, flowers and melon on top of more conventional cracker base.
A touch of sweet dough with plenty of mango, then catty pine needle, passionfruit and red grapefruit hops.
Floral and spicy white grape ending and soft fruity honeydew linger.
Crisp, light, round, slight chew.

Stunner. This could beat down most IPAs with the hopping (Simcoe, Citra, NS and Centennial) but it keeps that clean lager finish and light body. My only complaint would be that it gets the tart and dank side of these particular hops which can be bright and fruity with a light touch - and there's no Centennial orange. But with a November bottling date, the fact that there's hops at all is a minor miracle.

Stroke of genius.

Got this one at Geers in Ghent. I don't know the availability, but I bought it in the late spring.

From a bottle into a snifter
Described on the bottle as a hoppy pilsner

APPEARANCE: Pours a big, thin, bright white head with good retention. Perfectly clear gamboge orange in color with higher levels of carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a thick foam cap. A good wisp remains until the end and leaves some nice dots of lacing down the glass. Very nice looking beer.

SMELL: Very hoppy for sure. Honedew melon, citrus aromas and plenty of grapefruit. Quite nice really.

TASTE: Good hop flavor on this one. Some caramel malt, pilsner malt sweetness and citrus notes. Mild in flavor, but complex and well balanced hop profile. Piny bitterness comes out at the finish. Medium strength but persistent aftertaste with caramel, melon, citrus and floral bitterness and pilsner malts. Wish they'd used pale malts and made this a pale ale instead, but for what it is, it's really enjoyable.

PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy on the palate, goes down nice and smooth and finishes rather dry. Good feel for the style.

OVERALL: This is the definition of a good, low ABV, hoppy pilsner. A very well executed BBQ beer for sure. Too bad I can't buy it in mass quantities for fun around the pool. Recommended.

I had it on 33cl bottle. Very brillant golden colour, the white foam don’t last for long time. At the nose there is a little caramel sensation but the strongest preception is cedar and some floral and herbs smells from the hops. Medium body, smooth but very hopped. On their website they define this beer a Pils but it is closest to an IPA than to a Pils even if the flowers and the herbs smells quite remember the typical pils aroma. But in the end is a good beer, I reccomend it.

A: Pours a transparent pale amber with a reddish glow around the edges. Frothy head that retained well with moderate lacing. Looks very similar to an American Pale Ale.

S: Citrus hop aromas blended with subtle floral notes.

T: Round tropical esters hit the palate up front; guava, pear, grapefruit; slightly pithy. A hint of pilsner malt present. Bitter and citrusy finish.

M: Light-medium bodied with present carbonation.

O: Very nice. Bitter for the style, but well balanced with the complex fruit flavors. In my opinion, tastes much more like a pale ale than a pilsner.

Pours amber with a small head.
Floral and fruity hops in the aroma, lots of peach and orange blossom. Some soft sweet malt too.
Very hoppy, aggressive flavours. Lots more floral and fruity hops. Very bold, sharp bitterness, with little supporting sweet malt.
Carbonation seems a bit full-on.

On tap. Shaker glass. Enjoyed @ Freiburg (Barcelona). Golden color, chill haze appearance. White crown showing fairly good retention. Mint, herbal, green wood & piney aromas. Crispy & malty upfront. Light to medium body. Soft carbonation. Subtle spicy palate. Oily to watery texture. Hints of fruity hops in the middle. Dry bitter/sweet finish.
