I hope this is the right place for this review as at least on smell this isn't matching others even closely.

Pours a massive full sniffer of head with just a light pour. Dense opaque yet no floaters with a huge cap of cream head.

The nose is funky as hell. Horse blankets, hay, skunked hops....I'm thinking a crazy sasison farm house ale. A lot of alcohol here too.

Really sweet with some hints of medicinal alcohol notes that dry it out a bit. Hops are present with some rum dried hops perahaps?

Sharp and alcoholic without being good. This beer is dry when it should be creamy, sharp when it should be...it just isn't right here. More paint thinner than great barely win.

Mine is Bigger than yours is an interesting mix of elements. It smells really interesting, it has some hints of horse blanket and the flavor but mostly I get hops and over the top sugar with alcohol paint thinner effect. This isn't a bad beer but for us americans at 11 bucks for about a 12 oz pour...more is needed.

Bottle poured into a large snifter. Deep hazy amber brown with about an inch and a half of cream-tan head. Head held well and formed a nice thin layer on top and a hick collar. Phenomenal lacing. Aroma is really toasty/bready, some good sweet caramel, and earthy/woody hop. Taste is somehow inverted from the aroma, British hops, caramel and then the toast at the end; but the aftertaste turns back into the caramel sweetness. Good body: medium to almost full. Medium-low carbonation.

(Served in a teku)
A- This beer pours a slightly hazy deep brown body with a thin bubblish light tan meniscus of foam. There is a gentle carbonation that pops to the surface.

S- The woody malt aroma has some white grape skin notes in the finish.

T- The spicy hops blend with a dry woody caramel flavor and a fruity grape note grows and takes on a slight gummi bear quality as it opens. The grape fruity flavor lingers on in the after taste.

M- The medium mouthfeel has a gentle alcohol warmth when it opens and a soft fizz prick

O- This is an interesting blend of malt and grapes and it balances both nicely. There is not a rich luscious barleywine flavor but nice flavor.

375 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Pours with a small white head. Deep orange, slight haze. Some surface wisps.

Smell - Musty and a little bit of hops. A bucket of caramel. Slight fruitiness.

Taste - Lots of caramel. It has some hop presence and a little bit of must. A bit of apple-y flavor.

Mouthfeel - Heavy. Medium low carbonation.

Overall - Kinda blah, but decent flavors.

Enjoyed in a snifter from a growler...and a rather pricey one at that!
This fine barley wine pours a thick hazy orange with a light dissipating head that leaves a light foam ring and decent lacing. Nose of rich caramel malts, brown sugar, light spicy hops, and some light fruit aromas of peaches. Flavors are buttery and rich. Deep caramel malts and brown sugars come to the front, spicy hops hit the sides and back. Rich and layered. Hops keep this one in check without being overly bitter and a fine cascade of flavors that hides the alcohol very well. Quaffable with caution. Awesome.

Cheers!

375 ml bottle. Served in a DFH snifter, the beer pours an orange/brown color with about an inch light tan head that sticks around a little while. There's also a decent amount of lacing. The brew smells like caramel malt, brown sugar, candied/dried fruit, and some light citrusy and grassy hops. The taste is similar to the aroma, it tastes like caramel malt, brown sugar, candied fruit, grapes, toffee, and a bit of grassy hops. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a little syrupy with moderate carbonation. I think this is a good brew, I liked it. It's pricey at $10.99 a bottle, but still worth a try at that price.

Pours a rich mahogany, with atan 2 finger head. Laces well and overall is an attractive beer.

Aroma is rather sweet, with notes of caramel, toffee, nuts and even tinges of chocolate.

The taste echoes the sweetness, but with a bit of a burn from the alcohol. It's slight, and just enough to let you know it's a big beer. There's a nutty, toffee-like linger.

The body is fairly full bodied, with some creamy slickness too it.

It's a pretty nice barleywine. I'm presuming that this is an English as opposed to an American from the lack of hops.

A: The beer is very hazy caramel in color and has a light amount of carbonation visible from the bubbles rising near the edge of the glass. It poured with a finger high off white head that quickly died down, leaving some lacing on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of caramel malts and toffee are preset in the nose—these strengthen to medium intensity as the beer warms up.
T: The taste is very similar to the smell and has some additional hints of brown sugar, but only has slight bits of sweetness. No bitterness is perceptible, but there's just enough to mask out just about all of the malty sweetness. Any traces of alcohol are also very well hidden from the taste.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. There is some warming from the alcohol.
O: This beer is deceptively drinkable for 12.5% abv as you don't get any of the alcohol in the taste, but it has enough interesting flavors and warming to be a beer you could sip and savor next to a fire on a cold winter night.

A pinkish clouded brew, a non-descriptive colored head with small lacing but good curtains.

Glue, hops and resin.

Tasting sweet sherry, raisins, jelly bean shots.

Little carbonation, sticky with a thick body, not dry.

Soft, slightly boozy, very young. Wait a decade.
