Poured from a bomber into an oversized snifter. No bottle date.
Appearance: Pours jet black and leaves a finger of mocha/medium tan/light-medium brown head which lingers for a long while before becoming a thin brown layer atop the beer.
Smell: Big roasted malts, coffee, cinnamon, chili peppers (mild spice), vanilla, milk chocolate, hint of fudge. Really complex, so many different flavors playing around in here.
Taste: Tons of coffee, toasted malts, fudgey dark chocolate, hint of chili peppers, vanilla, light cinnamon. Definitely dominated by the bitter coffee/toasted malts, but the finish includes some sweet flavors that add nicely. The ABV is masked really, really well - I forgot about the ABV when I drank the first half or so. I'd peg it more at like 10-13%.
Mouth-feel: Low to medium carbonation with a medium to thick, creamy, creamy body. Nice slick feel to it - fits the beer well. There is a bit of heat to it, but not unpleasant at all.
Overall: Outstanding aromas, slick body, abv is hidden really well. Nice big coffee/malt flavors in the body. This is a well done beer, with a ton of different flavors in it - try to find them all! An enjoyable, huge stout.

500th BA review!
A: Pours an absolutely opaque black with just under 1 fingers width of mocha colored head. Head dissipates down fairly quickly. Leaves no real lacing but some alcohol legs.
S: Roasty, habanero pepper spice, coffee, bakers chocolate, some herbaceous notes, nutty, a bit of booze. Big, bold, and complex. Wonderful nose.
T: Chocolate, almond, and a short bread-like character; like a chocolate biscotti. I also get roasted malt, lots of bitter black coffee. Dark chocolate notes are huge. Usually these ultra high ABV stouts are very sweet, so thats what I was expecting, but this one isnt really very sweet at all (in a good way). Awesome.
M/D: Full bodied but not quite thick, very low carbonation which is appropriate, quite smooth, the massive ABV is exceptionally well masked, and drinkability is surprisingly good.
O: Overall, what a beer. This is fantastic. A must try.
