The bubbly, off-white head fades hastily, leaving nothing but a clear, yellow and orange brew.

Aroma consists of Brett, lemon zest, green apple, orange and faint spice. Very rich and promising.

Fruity (grapefruit, green apple) and crisp with little in the way of Brett to the palate, but not uninteresting. A little grapefruit and subtle hops mingle in the background.

Light in body, but not in flavor. This is a simple, straight-forward and near perfect in all aspects.

A: Pours a hazy medium golden apricot in color with moderate to heavy amounts of active visible carbonation streaming from the bottom of the glass and straw + golden yellow highlights. The beer has a two finger tall fizzy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a medium thick film covering the entire surface of the beer with a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of brett funkiness with light to moderate aromas of lime citrus and floral hops.

T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of grainy + pale malts with a touch of sweetness. That is quickly followed by strong flavors of earthy funkiness from the brett along with a touch of spiciness - good notes of hay and horse blanket. The finish has a light amount of citrus/lime zest and floral hops which impart a touch of bitterness which fades quickly.

M: Light bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Smooth, almost creamy with a moderate amount of dryness in the finish.

O: The mouthfeel is very much what I expected having tried a handful of other Crooked Stave beers and there is a definite brett presence in this one. Super easy to drink and enjoyable, pairs well with strong flavored foods at dinner. Easy to drink, refreshing and with very sessionable ABV. Extremely enjoyable and one that I would be happy to get again.

22 oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. I found this oddity and the local beer store. 'All brett pale ale'. 'Brewed with citrus peel and with citrus juice added'. Not entirely sure what to expect with this one.

Poured into a clear balloon snifter.

A - Pours a juicy citrusy lemon-orange colored body with about two fingers of fizzy bone white foam that goes down somewhat quick. Some thick scattered lacing. It looks pretty nice.

S - The aroma is unique and pleasant - sour, tart, bretty, and funky on the initial sniff, but aromas of wheat, grain, grass, herbal spice rack notes, lemon zest, oranges, peaches, grapefruit, and pineapple emerge. Fruity and tropical aromas.

T - The taste follows the nose - lightly grainy / grassy / herbal, lots of pale bready malt character, and lots of juicy tropical citrus fruits on the finish - grapefruit, orange, tangerine, peaches. The brett could maybe stand to me amped up just a touch, but as it is, all of the ingredients are in good harmony with each other.

M - The feel is crisp, juicy, smooth, and clean. Lightly dry and bready, but it is in nice harmony with the citrus juices. Medium-light bodied with good carbonation. Very easy drinking

Overall, an enjoyable low alcohol brett pale ale from Evil Twin. It smelled much more sour than it tasted, but it was about what I was hoping for, and I would definitely be interested to try other beers similar to this one.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy bright gold color with a 2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, tangerine, apricot, peach, pear, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, light pepper, musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus spicing, fruity/funky brett, and pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, tangerine, orange peel, apricot, peach, pear, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, herbal, light pepper, musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Light yeast spice on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, tangerine, orange zest, apricot, peach, pear, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, light pepper, herbal, musty funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of citrus spiciness, fruity/funky brett, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish as expected of 4%. Overall this is a damn nice all Brett citrus spiced pale ale. All around good balance and complexity of citrus spicing, fruity/funky brett, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

A 4.0% abv all Brettanomyces Pale Ale with Citra hops, citrus juic and peel added. It pours a slightly hazed golden apricot hue with bright white head with a yellow tint to it, fine Belgian style lacing. We are in good hands; this beer was brewed at Westbrook Brewing Company.

Aroma has that wild funky brett character with lemon/lime citrus notes coming through, citrus pith and zest as well the oils jump out of the glass and into your nares. The character from the all Brett fermentation leads to a bit of horse blanket, barnyard quality with a dank earthy mint spice even alcohol glazed pear.

Flavor contains bitter orange pith off the bat, brettanomyces character all day. Tropical fruit, bitter earthy dank citric brettanomyces yeast notes. Again more of those flavors associated with the brett fermentation including barnyard, pear, herbal mint notes. Citra hops are lost amongst everything else going on.

Mouthfeel has a lighter body but the textures are not thin in anyway, so nice to see a 4% session pale ale all brett fermentation this is unique and trademark of something you would brew with Crooked Stave he did graduate work on Brettanomyces fermentation and I’m pretty sure that strain with other wild yeasts full most of his breweries creations.

Overall, very enjoyable easy to consume yet satisfyingly complex characteristics are found in this beer, I’m glad that they are distributed in Ohio. Hell Eviltwin Imperial Biscotti Break remains in my top ten beers of all time.

Thanks to Thomas & Jenny for sharing!
Quick review from written notes.

Splashed into a tulip glass, it pours a hazy golden orange tone. Thin ring and patchy skim across the surface.

Soft woodiness and eucalyptus from the Brett strain, also some damp hay and citrus notes.

Juicy orange , bitter peels, tropical passionfruit flavors, well integrated Brett yeast plays off the fruit nicely. Medium bodied, juicy at first with a dry finish. Very summery and drinkable. Glad this stuff is fairly affordable, will seek some out.
