Bottled. Pours almost black with a brown glow and with an average sized creamy, beige head. Good lacings. Nose of toasted malts, vanilla and coffee. Flat carbonation. Medium sweet flavour with vanilla, dark coffee, chocolate and dark fruit notes. Full bodied. Oily texture. Ends up more dry, slightly bitter and with the alcohol well hidden. An enjoyable brew but it will probably develope with some storage. (408 characters)

Look: Typical ET stout. Pitch brown body. Darker than usual thick foamy head that quickly retreats to a think film and halo around the glass.
Smell: Medium roast coffee, sweetness, a little lactose, maybe some chocolate, and a touch of char.
Taste: The taste is very similar to the nose.
Feel: Sufficient. It works well with all of the other elements.

Overall - Not bad. I would have it again, especially at the current price point. All of these breweries trying to top out their prices are killing my bank account. This one isn't like that, and I don't think it will be. (582 characters)

Poured ink black into a snifter,a thinner beige crown atop.Aromas of dark fruit and sweet alcohol,I could tell this was gonna be a sweet alcohol bomb right off the bat.Flavors are in your face sweet, vanilla, dark fruit, light chocolate, and a big zing of sweet alcohol in the finish. This is a heavy handed impy stout,it took all of me to finish the bottle,in saying that its good for a sipper. (390 characters)

A: Dark black with a small beige head.

S: Strong Chocolate, Vanilla, A hint of coffee

T: Chocolate, Vanilla, A hint of coffee

M: Slight carbonation, a little bitter with a nice vanilla aftertaste

This beer took be by surprise. I had never heard of it before but decided to try it at Rattle N Hum. Just smelling it before tasting I could tell this was going to be a good beer. The when I tasted it I was very happy that I tried it. Probably one of the best new beers that I've tried in a while. I wish this beer was more available because I would like to have it again and maybe age a bottle of it. (603 characters)

A: Deep dense dark brown under a 2” dense tan foam collar that descends to a thick, lacy film that produeces Guinness quality lace.
S: Dark dried fruit, roast, some cocoa, espresso, very faint banana.
T: The palate follows the nose with more creaminess mellowing the roast and coffee flavors and giving the cocoa a creamy chocolate character. Also has a trace of vanilla with some banana appearing on the finish.
M: Very creamy chewy texture with very moussey, fine soft carbonation
O: A very easy to drink Imperial Stout. (528 characters)

Dark black throughout, no clarity, thick, viscous, heavy, and substantial looking. Gorgeous. This leaves a bit of sticky web-like lace down the glass.

Rich aroma of dark chocolate, roast, a bit of cream, earthy vanilla, and a hint of anise. Complete.

The chocolate flavor in this beer is phenomenal. The chocolate flavor is rich, bitter, sweet, and earthy all in one. There's a bit of dark fruit, sweet vanilla, and anise character as well, but it's minimal and only a complementary accent.

Medium to full bodied with low to moderate carbonation.

This was incredibly tasty, and surprisingly so. Easily, the best Evil Twin beer I've had to date. (697 characters)

Bottle poured into a Hill Farmstead Tulip

A - Dark, chocolate brown. Small mocha colored head sits on top.

S - Light milk chocolate, roasted coffee, sugar, and a light milkiness

T - Dark chocolate that gives it a slight bitter note up front. Roasted coffee, light smoke and charcoal, black cherry. Espresso in the finish that leaves a strong bitter finish

MF - Light body, a bit watery which is surprising given the high alcohol. Light astringent on the finish with the espresso

O - Decent stout that has a lot of flavors but they don't seem to blend together perfectly. I wish the body was a bit thicker as I think it make the flavors pop a bit more. The espresso on the finish is nice but a bit strong so make sure you like coffee before you pick this one up. (767 characters)

This one is a thick, inky black with a nice tan head a full finger tall. The head retention is good, as is some thick and patchy lacing left in good volume on the sides of the glass.
This beer showcases a mix of dark fruits, bittersweet dark cocoa, and creamier sweetness with some roasty undertones that add a little dryness while allowing it to remain sweet overall. There's a little bit of herb or leaf, just a light hops presence seeming to add a little balance, with a bit of woodiness growing and a ghost of smokiness underlying. I could use a touch more vanilla, but it shows.
The body's not thick and heavy, perhaps to the point at which slightly more would be good, but it's rich and smooth. There's just enough crispness to even it and add some life without detracting from it. It finishes semi-sweet and lingers semi-dry. (837 characters)

Served in a snifter from a 12 ounce bottle.

Classic chewy, cocoa-colored frothy head...multiple fingers thick. Body black as midnight. 5

Sweet molasses-y malt aroma. Not quite what I expect from ET. A bit of chocolate and caramel sweetness. 3.75

There's some berry flavor here, sweet, milky chocolate and caramel, and caramelized and brown sugar. A bit of pronounced floral yeast emerges and isn't pleasant here. 3.5

Floral, bitter, and sticky with sweetness. The booze is well-buried and the viscous body is nice and smooth. 3.5

Interesting that I had Lion Stout yesterday as this beer and that one are similar. (618 characters)
