11.2 oz bottle was poured into a tulip glass.
Appearance: The beer poured a one finger mocha head that has reduced to a thin layer. It is pitch black with no clrity and some signs of bubbles at the upper rim of the glass. Looks delicious.
Smell: roasted and bready malts, mocha, and somce smokiness too.
Taste: roasted coffee, bittersweet choocolate, bready and sweet malts, alcohol, and quite a tasty treat.
Mouthfeel: very smooth, a bit dry, full bodied, medium to high carbonation, and very easy to drink given the high ABV.
Overall: This is a pretty solid DIS that could of sat for 3 more years. I have completed the Evil Twin black and tan beers and next time I will venture into the expensive mix now that I have had both compnents separately.

Poured from 12oz bottle into a tulip.
Appearance: utterly black with a finger of creamy dark-tan foam atop. Not much more you can ask of a beer.
Smell: rich and roasty, but not acrid, with a good sweetness underneath. Coffee and chocolate come through, along with a nice dark-fruitiness. I'm a fan.
Taste: much like the aroma, in that it is super roasty without being astringent or acrid. Specific coffee and chocolate notes are a little toned down from the aroma, but there's still that subtle element of dark fruit complexity that I like. Quite good.
Mouthfeel: big body with a decent carbonation and a good creaminess. Appropriate for a stout of this nature; I quite like it.
Overall: this is a pretty satisfying Imperial stout. I could see myself drinking more of this.
