Pours a orangy color with good clarity and a soft white head. Good retention and ok lacing through out the tasting.
Hop forward aroma with good west coast citrus and orange notes. Minor pineapple and herbal notes. Some caramel notes from the grain. Light yeast note that is a touch distracting.
Flavor is right on par with a good hop note. The citrus and orange really come out with more grapefruit flavors. Bitterness has a nice balance and lingers into the finish. There is an odd caramel note on the back end but overall great balance.
The body is moderate with a good carbonation backing. Some astringency from the hops that linger. Overall a really nice DIPA.

Poured from 12oz bottle into a tulip.
Appearance: medium orange hue with a light haze and a moderately strong effervescence. Head is a thin finger of frothy ivory foam. Not too bad.
Smell: strong hop aroma which is mostly floral but has some citrusy and earthy character too. It works for me!
Taste: caramelly malt flavor with a big hop character which is floral, green and a little dank. Bitterness is a little light for the style but OK. Not too bad, but kind of muddled.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a great carbonation and creaminess. Bam!
Overall: the flavor is muddled and not well balanced in my opinion. Not a terrible beer, but also not one that really grabs me.

Pour is dark copper, strong haze and a dense yellowish white head with some large bubbles. Nose is strong pine, light citrus, notes of caramel and a touch of cardboard. Taste has more pine, cardboard, lots of malt, caramel, brown sugar, a touch sticky. Full bodied with assertive carb. Some residuals left.
