On tap at Bavarian Lodge.
A- burnt orange sunrise. some lacing and retention in the glass.
S- lots of citrus (orange, pineapple), some sweetness and hint of pine hops
T- Not a huge malt sweetness but enough. Lots of citrus hops here, orange, grapefruit, pineapple. Nice pine bitterness at finish.
M- On the lighter side for a DIPA. slightly dry yet has a little creaminess to it.
O- Probably one of the best DIPA's I have had from Europe. Good balance of sweet malts, citrus hops, and bitterness. If you find this it is worth a try.

A: Pours a clear, ruddy amber with a fluffy, thick whitish head. Head retention is only so-so, though lacing is moderate.
S: Aromas of biscuit, lemon, lime, bitter orange, grapefruit, juniper berry, herbs, pine, papaya, pineapple, and tangerine fill the nose.
T: Notes of crackers, caramel, biscuit, herbs, lemon, lime, kumquat, bitter orange, grapefruit, papaya, pineapple, cedar, juniper berry, and tangerine swirl across the palate. The finish is mostly bitter and resinous with just enough caramel sweetness from the malt to provide a semblance of balance.
M: Medium-bodied, firm, and oily. Carbonation is delicate. Alcohol presence is noticeable. This is definitely an ale to be sipped and savored.
O: For the most part, this is a really nice DIPA. I appreciate the fact that the malt is emphasized a bit more than usual and the bitterness is not so overwhelming. I can see this being a beer that would be appreciated by those who are trying to move away from the over-the-top bitterness of many contemporary American DIPAs.
