Pours an effervescent copper/orange with 3 fingers of cream colored head. Crazy lacing & nice head retention
S: Doughy with leafy hops, pears & toffee
T: Doughy, leafy & piney hops, some tea like tannin & a touch or orange rind up front. Some pear notes once warm, more pineyness & woody hops, a bit of toffee sweetness, loads of pineyness too. Finishes oaky dry, with sweet maltyness, faint cherry, slight booze heat, woody hops that really brings puckery bitterness
MF: Chewy, fairly lively carbonation, good balance, sticky, some booze warmth
An interesting DIPA with an English slant, but no game changer. Would've love to try this about 3-4 months fresher

A: Pours a clear, ruddy amber with a fluffy, thick whitish head. Head retention is only so-so, though lacing is moderate.
S: Aromas of biscuit, lemon, lime, bitter orange, grapefruit, juniper berry, herbs, pine, papaya, pineapple, and tangerine fill the nose.
T: Notes of crackers, caramel, biscuit, herbs, lemon, lime, kumquat, bitter orange, grapefruit, papaya, pineapple, cedar, juniper berry, and tangerine swirl across the palate. The finish is mostly bitter and resinous with just enough caramel sweetness from the malt to provide a semblance of balance.
M: Medium-bodied, firm, and oily. Carbonation is delicate. Alcohol presence is noticeable. This is definitely an ale to be sipped and savored.
O: For the most part, this is a really nice DIPA. I appreciate the fact that the malt is emphasized a bit more than usual and the bitterness is not so overwhelming. I can see this being a beer that would be appreciated by those who are trying to move away from the over-the-top bitterness of many contemporary American DIPAs.
