A: first thing I'm noticing is great head retention and thick lacing. The head is dark brown, cream-n-coffee colored, and is about two fingers thick.
S: the roast malts have the certain aroma like they were roasted over a fire, the smoke is apparent. Very light coffee and chocolate hidden behind the smoke and sweet malt.
T: the smoke is first noticed, followed by roast malt sweetness and a bit of burnt toast like carbon in the smoky flavor.
M: coating, and lingers around for awhile.
O: I like this, its different for sure but don't think I will seek this out again, that's not saying I don't like evil twin.

Weirdly, a huge (more than three fingers) tan head forms up, popping away slowly, leaving a small creamy cappuccino cap and a few traces on the side of the glass. Black in colour.
Smells awesome: bacon, chocolate and clear oranges, quite a weird combo, but works great. Smoke, dark malts, faint coffee bean, green hops.
Quite a complex taste, maybe a bit too much really. Roasted malts, almost burnt, citrus juice and a big phenolic feel in the front. There's also some dark fruit, dark cooking chocolate, cream, cinnamon and faint vanilla, fainter licorice, followed by more and more roasted notes, getting to ash, charcoal, burnt wood, touch of peat and with a small smokey hint right at the finish. American hops stand tall in this one, almost close to a Black IPA, closing the beer with a nice leafy bitterness, alongside the obvious burnt dark bread crust and quite a bit of warm alcohol.
Medium body, creamy, smooth (if not for a bit of surplus fizz).
Really enjoyed this one, forgiving with the smokiness, but generous with the hops and the nice roasty chocolate. Might seem a bit rough, but nothing too hard to stomach.
