Bottled 2/12/14, poured slowly from bottle into an IPA glass on 4/27/14, finishing the pour vertically to form a better head. The appearance is copper in color and forms a thick, bubbly cream colored head. Viscosity seems apparent from the pour. Sediment is notoriously present and resembles specks of fish food in an aquarium.
Its aroma is not exactly what you would expect form an American DIPA. Smells malty sweet - brown sugar, fruit - picking up mostly pineapple and a faint hop aroma in the background. After the first few sips I can taste the pineapple notes even more, the rest is a sweet caramelly flavor that's closely followed by the bitterness of the ever-present albeit somewhat hidden hops. You feel the alcohol immediately, although I wouldn't use "boozy" to describe its taste.
Mouthfeel reminds me of DFH 120 Min IPA. Thick and viscous for a DIPA - yet at 13% ABV - I feel this helps hide the alcohol very well. Molotov Cocktail's body composition also helps drink sips and savour them more easily as opposed to the bigger gulps one might take with other D/IPAs.
Overall, this is a pretty solid beer. I read reviews before cracking it open and wasn't sure what to expect but I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. Also, I kept in mind the whole time this wasn't going to be your typical American IPA (even though its brewed in CT) so I was not expecting those typical characteristics.

Pours dark orange, decent light beige head that goes (not too fast) to a nice lace, with lots of traces on the glass.
Fruity hop smell from afar. Close in and you get huge tangerine, pineapple, sweet peach, extra faint tropical notes too, grapefruit, fruit jam, caramel, warm alcohol (not too much tho), faint pine and breadiness.
Starts really sweet, full off peach and tangerine jam, pineapple syrup, faint papaya and passion fruit, grapefruit and oranges (with lots of bitter peel later on). Strong alcohol and bitter hops settle in, both rather pleasant, not disturbing. Big green profile, leafy, dank, touch of pine, big hop oils, with a really big bitterness in the end. The alcohol helps push the fruitiness through the bitter "barrier", leaving lots of the sweet tastiness in the aftertaste, at the cost of some extra booziness.
Medium body, a bit oily, medium carbonation. Alcohol is almost anesthetic towards the end, really piles up, so be careful. So does the syrupy sweetness.
Lots of tasty hops and almost decently handled huge abv, quite a monster of a beer.

Beautiful IPA: nice white head, slightly hazy orange body.
Hoppy aroma with sweet caramel and biscuit as well.
Incredibly sweet, from malts to hop profile to sugar. Fruity, tropical, thick and syrupy. The bitterness is overwhelmed by the sweetness.
Sticky and syrupy.
This reminds me of Devil Dancer: potent, incredibly sweet, and hoppy. Too sweet for my tastes.

A: orange. Clear. Medium-small frothy head. Great lacing throughout drink.
S: herbal. a bit of alcohol
T: fruity. Sweet. Mango, orange and residual sugar dominate the palette. Warming alcohol flavors at the end. Balanced extremely well.
M: medium carbonation. Medium-heavy body. Sweet.
O: probably one of the best imperial IPA's that I have tried. The balance between hops, malt, and alcohol is impeccable. Bravo. Would have rated higher if aroma was more prevalent.
