Did you like Before, During, & After Christmas? Maybe you thought it poured brilliantly, and you loved of the arrogant amounts of hops wowed you. This beer will knock your tongue off, essentially due to the obscene amount of hops that went down this explosive fella. It’s a tour de force in hoppiness and by far the craziest beer made by Evil Twin… but not the last.

Brewed at Fanø Bryghus.

The beer had nice carbonation and head with average pour. The aroma was nice with fruit and pine notes. The flavor did not match the nose. Flavor was very malty and lacking the hop forward I was expecting. The beer was fresh so not an age issue. I would drink this beer again but not my first choice. Cheers all have a great day.

Just picked up four pack of Evil Twin Molotov Cocktail, in my book its a great substitute for the Maharaja by Avery. Very similar beers but unfortunately we don't get Avery beers in NWA anymore.

A: Cloudy, full of sediment, golden amber color, with a slight head to it.

S: Slight hint of pine to it, very citrusy with a nice malt blend to it.

T: A slight sweet citrusy taste to it, light caramel/malt to it with a super smooth finish for an Imperial IPA. Very easy to drink and a slight carbonation to it.

M: Very vibrant flavors of various citric fruits, not super heavy, leaves a smooth finish afterwards even though it comes at a surprising 13%.

O: Fantastic beer from Evil Twin, this is my first but definitely not my last. Again, I'm a HUGE fan of Avery Beers and their Maharaja and now the Raja, but since we can't get Avery beers in NWA I have a strong feeling that Evil Twin will be my go to Imperial IPA till i make a trip to Texas and snag some of the Rajas and Maharajas.

poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass date (i believe) was 3.15.15
pours orange gold with a small white head that faded very fast
smell is sweet with hints of pine and fruit and strong smell of alcohol
taste sweet strong alcohol slightly sour to bitter aftertaste
feel was viscous and warming reminded me quite a bit of a stronger myrcenary or st lupulin from odells
overall a bit over the top but enjoyable

Aroma: Citrus & Pine, heavy hops, almost no malt, oranges,

Appearance: I can't tell if it is cold break, or contamination, but there is a lot of stuff and chunks in the bottom of the bottle. Poured it gently to leave junk in the bottle abut a lot got in the glass so there was very little head. But color spot on, and very clear (minus the chunks).

Taste: Heavy hops,not as much as expected for an Imperial. Pears, and pineapple, light malt, can tell it is heavy alcohol, residual bitterness 30 sec after still present. very well balanced. definitively not a sipping beer.

Feel: Initially smooth, with tartness and drying followed up, and then slight astringency on back of tongue.

Overall: Was skeptical with all the stuff floating in it, might want to filter it, but it was spot on for flavor and smell. A bit over the top on alcohol for BJCP imperial IPA, but Double and Triples don't have have a category yet so, very good. I'll be having this one again!

A: hazy; gold in color; 1 finger ivory head that receded to a wispy cap; nice lacing;

S: herbal with a hint of pine and orange behind it;

T: almost a canned fruit cocktail flavor for a moment; from mid-palate on, it's a combination of spice, herbal, and orange; finish is moderately bitter;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; slight alcohol burn, but very smooth for the ABV;

O: complex and very interesting; a really nice job hiding the 13% ABV;

An intriguing and fairly complex beer. The appearance and aromas are on par to most any DIPA I've had. The beer itself takes on many of the properties of wine; which given the ABV is to be expected. The feel lives up to the name of the beer which is mildly enjoyable; there's an after burn/kick of alcohol with every sip. Enjoyable though you have to get past the strength of it some, which for me makes it a little less pleasant since it's more of a sipper.

Will definitely drink again!

A towering and resilient off-white froth rises out of this reddish-orange brew. Loads of orange and grapefruit to the nose. Has a bit of sweet bread and earth as well. Grain and light fruits up front followed in time by a splash of citrus. An undercurrent of spice, pine and orange-peel are noticed in the finish. Medium in body with a slightly lingering astringency. The alcohol is surprisingly well-hidden.

I could do this one from time to time.

Poured from a bottle. Cloudy, bright orange with a thin white head. Citrus dominates the aroma, lots of grapefruit, some orange. Juicy citrus flavors with mild bitterness, caramel sweetness, and quite a bit of breadiness. Full mouth feel. Delicious beer, very drinkable. 13% sneaks up on you.

A: [4.00] Cloudy orange/honey colored beer. The beer forms a small white head that is gone in seconds. The bottle lists the ABV (13%) and there is a born on code that I think means (07/29/15).

S: [4.25] Caramel, bread, pine, sugary sweetness.

T: [4.50] Orange, candied orange, lemon zest, cake frosting like sweetness in the middle.

M: [4.75] Really, really bright on the tongue. The flavor pops. Really dramatic bold mouthfeel. No hints of the 13% ABV. The finish is relatively quick.

O: [4.25] Wow, this is a really nice IPA. The mouthfeel is incredible. It is like eating Pop Rocks - they feel just buzzes in your mouth. There is no sense of alcohol even at this high ABV. The taste covers a lot of ground but candied orange is the best overall descriptor. I would like to have this again.

The beer seemed great at first and then you get this strong overpowering taste of sugars that I'm just not a fan of. If it was a little more bitter id be happy. One thing I think this beer does well for the taste is hide the alcohol very well.

Prior to 2013 I'd never appreciated IPA beer. When Sierra Nevada Torpedo was on sale I said to myself, "OK, lets get a half dozen 12 packs and age them on the concrete floor in my basement canning room." Not much happened after a year so I experimented with blending Torpedo. A Coors Banquet or Plank brewery Icehouse tall boy poured with a Torpedo into a British 1L glass tankard cuts into the backend IPA bitterness quite nicely.

Then, an accident happened two months ago. I encountered Evil Twin Molotov Cocktail. Popping the cap has it's own nanosecond jet engine sound. I tried a bottle brewed in 2014 & subsequently purchased cases of February 2015 batch for aging. Molotov Cocktail is VERY bioactive, an excellent Imperial IPA, ideal for aging. The 2014 bottle had to be turned to loosen the sediment prior to opening adding to the flavor. The first cases I ordered 2 months ago (bottled Feb. 2015) have already developed a cloudy sediment aging on the floor in my canning room. This Imperial IPA is seriously alive and is the most extraordinary IPA this seasoned Imperial Stout enthusiast (since the 1970s) has ever experienced.

To get maximum feel, pour into snifter from 6" height & let settle for a couple minutes to dispense of carbonation before taking a sip. I only age & drink Imperial beers at around 55 degrees to get maximal flavor for my dollars. Prior to sale, all Imperials are refrigerated, stunting their growth. Never buy an Imperial beer & drink it the same day. Always age Imperial beers at least two months at basement floor temperature prior to consumption.

Then, Imperials like Molotov Cocktail's Sweet & Bitter & Sweet & Bitter & Sweet bouquet will be even more enhanced & 13% ABV just might be enhanced! Molotov Cocktail will be like popping in your mouth 1 citrus & 1 tropical English jellied candy & once chewed up together, swished around with a swig of Everclear. A beer like this deserves time to mature.

Had on tap.
This was a big, sweet, boozy beer. I didn't not get many hops on the nose or pallette. Almost no head and a red orange color. I think the sweetness caught me off guard more than anything but I'm guessing that the malt bill on this thing was huge. The hops were not there to back it up.

Pours with a thin head and is full of chunks. Smells of hops and vomit, not a good sign. Quite sweet and very hoppy but it comes off as very unbalanced. Reminds me of 120 minute but thinner. Alcohol is noticeable. It did not suit my tastes. Sorry Evil Twin, I like some of your brews but this one is a mediocre attempt at being extreme.

Copper with a light haze, no carbonation and 1/4 finger of off white head with almost no retention.

Peaches, fruity like a tropical fruit stand, pineapple, ripe mangos, and a hint of burnt sugar on the finish. The heat of alcohol is on the nose as well.

Straight off boozy then a hit of concentrated sweetness of mangos, passionfruit syrup, and pineapple syrup from the can. The alcohol exits on the nose after a sip. Sweet and boozy, but the booze is covered to what you'd guess is maybe 5% lower than it is. Little bitterness.

Thick and syrupy with almost no carbonation. Clean finish.

Got on Wishbeer, drank in Chiang Mai Sept 24th, 2015. Really nice brew. Is it up to par with the best of the style? It approaches, but is a little flat, a little syrupy, and not overly bitter as one would expect for the style.

On tap at Atomic Liquors in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada.

A solid malt backbone with sweet tropical fruit up front. The hoppy bitterness kicks in on the finish. 13% ABV is deceptive. Very good.

Copper in color with no head or lacing.

Smell is piney, grapefruit, lemon, and a bit of earth.

Taste is a mix of sweet and bitter with a hoppy finish. Citrus, caramel, malt, and pine dominate.

Mouthful is medium with light carbonation and cloying sweetness. Finish lingering and bitter.

An interesting beer, reminiscent of an east coast IPA but amped up more on the hops.

Pours an opaque deep amber producing 1.5 inches of creamy, frothy, somewhat lasting, off-white head that leaves sticky & pasty wash of lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel malt, packed with tropical fruit, orange & grapefruit flesh & pith with a generous amount of resinous pine. Taste cloyingly sweet caramel malt, loosely balanced with high octane hoppiness: tropical fruit, citrus flesh & pith & resinous pine with a very wet finish & alcohol spice. Aftertaste is a resinous hop/malt bitter-sweetness that rapidly gravitates to an imperial bitter. High ABV is well hidden. Mouthfeel is moderate-heavy bodied with moderate carbonation, oily, wet & slick finish with a bitter & astringent aftertaste.

Golden amber colored with a fingernail of eggshell white on top. It's fairly cloudy and lets minimal light seep through. Heavy lacing. Intense grapefruit aroma practically sears my nostrils. I taste intensely bitter grapefruit with substantial light malt keeping this beer in balance. The mouth is resiny, chewy and yet crisp and very refreshing.

Only the best IPA I Ever tasted. As a Bend OR beer drinker and brewer I stand by this statement. A pour from Growler Guys and a growler fill. Incredible ... yes it has a grapefruit flavor and high ABV. But really, just a darn good beer, may I drink much more. Better from the tap than the can, Viva NY

Pours a dark golden to copper, moderate head and wispy lace that retains decently. Big sweet malty aroma and taste. Strongly hopped, especially with a dry and bitter grapefruit finish. Lots of fruity tones; citrus, tropical fruit, mango, etc. Big and full mouthfeel, warming, softly carbonated and chewy. A high ABV and big flavored ipa. A great sipper.

The beer is hazy and golden with a thin white head. The aroma is a little thin, but the taste is intense. Hoppy, bitter, and sweet. Malt, spice, woody hop flavors, and lots of alcohol. This is a strong, engaging, and serious beer. Full and drinkable.

Served in a snifter at the Union Brewhouse in Weymouth.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a hazy pale orange yellow color with good clarity and vision of tiny bubbles coming up through the glass. Spotty lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Definitely hop forward. Malty and boozy too. Candied fruit, citrus, herbal, and grassy.

Taste: A plethora of flavors. Tastes better as it warmed. Definitely a sipper for an hour. Tastes good, but because of the 13%, I drank it slowly.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, medium to full bodied, mild bitterness, malty, medium carbonation, and some booze.

Overall: Definitely a sipper. Hoppy, malty, and boozy. Got better as it warmed up.

Look - fairly light leaning more towards a golden lager.

Smell - Nearly no smell at all when first opened , so major hit there. I like my IPAs to entice all senses, aroma is a huge part of taste. When I let it sit for a bit I did get aromas of malty grains.

Taste - sweet and smooth. If it weren't for slumping in my chair halfway through, I would never have known it was 13.0%. I taste candied wheat, would make a great after dinner beer.

Feel - Coats the mouth and made my lips sticky.

Overall - not bad if I came across this at the right price I would consider getting it again - I am partial to high octane beers.

Poured on draft at local bottle shop.

A: Pours a rich golden yellow with one to two finger dense white head. Long retention and heavy lacing.

S: Pineapple, grapefruit, orange peel, pine and plenty of sweet malts

T: Honey and caramel malts mixed with big bold floral hops. Some light citrus.

M: Full bodied and average carbonation. Finish is a little sweet and bitter.

O: Really nice DIPA although it reads more like a barley wine.
