Handsome amber brew with a big pile of suds in the Maredsous goblet. Foamy and sharp on the tongue. Very fragrant with the barnyard note and lime rind..

Quite fruity with just a little sweetness. Plenty of apple and pineapple taste. The Saison flavor is classic but the yeasty bitterness is intense. Brett flavor is on the verge of menacing, but it's also the classic taste. If you want to know what it tastes like, try this brew.

This is full flavored with the usual Belgian dry finish. A little on the harsh side, but thoroughly interesting. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Bottlecraft in San Diego.

i like this one better than ryan and the beaster bunny i think, as much as i liked that beer, i think it needed the funk that this one has, definitely some brett in here, and it makes the beer way more dry, less heavy on the belgian type esters, and also more flavorful than the other one. yellow in color, clear for the style, and totally heady, with a bone white layer over an inch tall. the nose is herbal, i get lemongrass and even green tea, along with some funky yeasts and a very light white wheat malt base. not sure how this ever got to 7% abv, as it hasnt much body or grain presence at all. its all about the yeast, which is almost tangy with a lemon hint and a real drying finish. seems a little hoppier too, some fruity oily stuff in the finish of this one suggests some dry hopping. explosive carbonation and super dry, a feeling i am coming to love in this style. very cool to have this one on tap, but im going to to try and find a bottle too, i was impressed with this one.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 2015 on the label. Pours slightly hazy bright golden color with a 2-3 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big lemon zest, orange peel, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, pear, apple, pepper, cracker, bread, light honey, hay, straw, grass, musty funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/spicy yeast and light-moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon zest, orange peel, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, pear, apple, pepper, cracker, bread, light honey, hay, straw, grass, musty funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness and light tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon/orange zest, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, pear, apple, pepper, bread, light honey, hay, straw, grass, musty funk, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a crisp malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly acidic/creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Brett saison style. All around great complexity and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours a lightly hazy gold with huge meringue head, trailing big chunks of thick lace down the glass. Smell: lemon and a note of sour citrus, hay and mild barnyard, spice. Taste: lemon cookie, sour citrus, dried pineapple note, soft graininess, mildly herbal and spicy with some honey-like sugar in the drying finish. Brett forward and pretty nice.
