A - black with a thin brown head that has little retention

S - faint roasted malts, light citrusy undertones

T - roasted malts, blood oranges, faint citrus, a hint of chocolate

M - medium bodied, crisp, decent carbonation

I was hoping for something a bit unique here, but ultimately this tastes more like a light porter. There are some faint citrusy notes thrown about with a light stout-y flavor profile. This is ultimately forgettable. I won't be having this again.

Black in color with a head that's thick and creamy. Thick collar, decent lacing. Aroma is coffee, roasty malt and bitter chocolate. Creamy mouthfeel, low carbonation despite that good head. Taste is also roasted malt up front with coffee and dark chocolate behind that.

(3.75) A: Pours a cola-like colour with a mocha head that quickly recedes to a thin ring that hugs the glass. Quite fizzy with lacing that clings.

(3.75) S: Roasted malt (dry cocoa & dark coffee bean), brown sugar, orange, licorice, and light banana. Creamy aroma with a sour citrus kick that lingers.

(4.0) T: Dry cocoa, juicy orange, tart lemon, light caramel, and some faint smoke in the finish. This is incredibly smooth with a unique flavour profile (tart chocolate orange) that is robust and very good.

(4.0) M: Medium bodied with a higher (fizzy) carbonation. Creamy with a velvet-like texture.

(4.0) D: This is very good and I would easily pick this up again. Great taste profile with a smooth and silky mouthfeel.
