22oz. bottle poured into a Bourbon County Snifter. Bottled on 11/05/10. Thanks to Hugonaut13 for the bottle.
Appearance: Dark brown with a 1/2" tan head that quickly recedes to a cap and leaves some nice lacing.
Smell: Sweet almond, vanilla, and chocolate in that exact order of dominance
Taste: Almond up front with sweet chocolate and a whole lot of vanilla flavor. This beer is a flavor bomb with so much depth, so tasty. It pushes the envelope on sweetness but not to far, remarkably good for a beer on the sweet side. It never becomes cloying.
Mouthfeel: Very creamy and rich.
Overall: Really a delicious beer, a massive amount of flavor built on the almond, vanilla, & chocolate troika. As I mentioned on the sweeter side but extraordinarily delicious.
Serving type: bottle
