Notes/Commercial Description:
The Roman Empire had a certain "je ne sais quoi" - festive food culture, extravagant architecture, and spectacular live entertainment. Some might argue the Emperors were brutal, mad, and hungry for power, and the people vain when taking baths and working out all day. Listen - that's still all part of the secret Imperial ingredient - keep it cool, clean, confident, arrogant, and flamboyant. Forza Imperiale.

Awesome bomber from dope (thanks man!) split with my brother, with my portion poured into a Deschutes tulip.

A: Dense, opaque black with thin brown head and decent lacing & alcohol legs.

S: Sweet alcohol; vanilla and almond really dominate, with some coffee and caramel mixed in for good measure. Decent roasted malt presence with plenty of sugary sweetness.

T: Sweeter here, as well; vanilla and caramel upfront. Less alcohol is tasted here than smelled. Decent amount of chocolate and coffee as well.

MF: Medium-to-full body, viscous and creamy. Carbonation was pretty low on this thing but didn't distract at all (though I would have preferred a little more to cut through the sweetness).

O: Really good, and way too easy to drink for how big it is (and even how much felt alcohol there is). Would have preferred a touch more coffee as well, to balance the sweetness, but my complaints are minor.

A- pours black w/ a mocha head. Solid lacing around glass.

S - The aroma was overly ripe bananas, chocolate, roasted malt, and coffee.

T -the ripe bananas are prominent with a deep chocolate, cinnamon and coffee finish.

M- Full bodied, not sweet or bitter, thick and balanced. Mild carbonation.

O - Spectacular flavor and mouth-feel. I hope this is consistently good. More to come.

Poured from bottle directly into torst wine glass. Pours opaque deep cocoa black with a two finger fluffy caramel head. Head dissipates quickly..nose is sweet dark cocoa, caramelly mocha and overall sweetness. Taste follows the nose...starting with a definitive chocolate foreground that develops effortlessly into big chocolate, booze, cream, and light smokiness. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy like a milkshake..overall another win for evil twin stouts.
