22oz bottle, fridge temp, poured into a snifter.
a nice opaque black, the slightest bit of brown noticable when held to the light. frothy mocha colored head. good retention, good lace.
milk and dark chocolate, a nice almond like nuttiness, a touch of vanilla, cookie, and roast. a little coffee comes in as it warms.
the flavors follow the aroma, but come in way more intense. it definatly has a biscotti like flavor. a nice almond cookie flavor, caramel, sweet toasty roasted malt, vanilla, hints of chocolate and coffee.
overall, a pretty sweet beer. medium to heavy bodied. smooth and somewhat creamy.
definatly one of the better desert like stouts ive had, a very pronounced biscotti flavor. its worth the steep price tag.
