This beer has lots of complex flavors.
Pours a dark beer. Has no carbonation forming. Aroma is of chocolate, fortified wine. Taste is very complex. Has vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and some yeasty element that makes it taste like a biscotti. It is not a bitter beer, it is a bit sour. Borderline heady. Mouth feel is syrupy.

I loved this friggin' beer. I'll get around to writing real reviews at some point (I'll come back and edit) but I wanted to point out how much I enjoyed this beer. I'm not sure I was expecting such a brilliant flavor, and though I was expecting a "good beer", this blew me away, unannounced! Yes, very similar to KBS in my humble opinion. Delicious, fabulous coffee flavors alongside the wonderful roasted notes.
(Cannot wait to try this barrel-aged. I honestly can't fathom how amazing that beer will be...it may let me down in a way as I've built this beer itself up so high)
