Bottle for the American market, bought from the De Molen webshop.
Poured with all the yeast.
Pours a very very dark brown, viscous.
Look pitch black in the glass with a dark mocca head that fades quickly.
Some carbonation visible as the foam is gone.
Smells very rich and complex.
Big roasted malts (British in a way), dark fruits (plums, dates, figs, raisins you name it) and coffee. A pretty big overall caramel/toffee sweetness. Vanilla. Burnt notes.
Tastes very good. Very sweet, Chocolate but also dark fruitiness. Yeah, delicious chocolate coated dark fruits (raising for example). Some burnt woodiness in there too. Pretty dry because of that. Coffee too, and dark (rye) bread. Good bitterness to balance the sweetness.
Very complex. The alcohol is noticable but it is pretty well hidden and adds to the beer.
Great mouthfeel on this one, more like creamy chocolate milk than beer. Rich and creamy.
Overall a really nice, very big imperial stout. Recommended.

22 ounce bottle into snifter, no bottle dating. Pours super dense pitch black color with a 2 finger dense dark brown head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, roasted malt, fudge, dark bread, raisin, prune, licorice, tobacco, smoke, light char, and smoke/roasted earthiness. Incredible aromas with fantastic complexity and balance of deep and intense dark/roasted malt and fruity/earthy notes; with great strength. Taste of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, fudge, roasted malt, dark bread, raisin, prune, licorice, tobacco, smoke, light char, and smoke/roasted earthiness. Fair amount of roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, fudge, roast, dark bread, raisin, prune, licorice, tobacco, smoke, light char, and roast/smoke earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity and intense robustness of dark/roasted malt and fruity/earthy flavors; with a great roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and extremely full bodied; with a very thick, creamy, slick, and lightly chalky mouthfeel that is incredible. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a world class imperial stout. All around insane complexity and balance of dark/roasted malt and fruity/earthy flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. An absolutely amazing offering.
