Poured into a glass mug. Poured hazy red-orange with a two-finger length white head. There are a few tiny bubbles visible in the beer. Some lacing is left behind as the head dissipates. The beer has a nice citrus aroma. There's some smell of bread, toffee and floral hops. The taste follows the nose. I get the bread and toffee in the flavor. There are citrus and floral flavors from the hops. There's some back end bitterness, but it isn't very strong and it's there to provide some balance. That's what this is: a well-balanced pale ale. The body is medium with moderate carbonation. The drinkability of the beer is high because it goes down smoothly. This is a very good beer.

Sample on tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Deep golden colour, head slightly off-white. Aroma of fruity hops / red fruits / blackcurrants, nice. Well balanced and pleasant flavour, distinctly hopped but not too much, sufficient malts. Would buy again.

Poured from a brown 11.2 oz. bottle. Has a dark bronze color with a 1/2 inch head, and some floaties. Smell is of dark breads, malts. Taste is bready malts, floral hops, balanced and smooth. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall, drinks more like an English pale ale than an American, but a good beer nonetheless.

This is a coppery-colored brew, clear but leaning darker with some red-brown to it, lots of yeast floating around in there unlike almost anything I've seen before. The head is a fluffy foam one finger tall that lies somewhere between tan and light brown. It keeps up, falling slowly and laying down some hard and heavy lace as it goes.
The smell is doughy, almost nutty, with some fruity esters and added balance as well as bitterness of mostly citrus notes. A "twiggy" (?) sort of earthiness develops strongly.
It's likewise sweet and malty with honey and fruits up front, but bitterness comes in with more strength than the nose. This has an earthy and citric element, but strong pine and pith notes as well. It's moderately spicy to add another element to its unusual character.
It's fluffy and just reaches medium, maybe a bit too soft with a crispness that persists nicely and a lingering finish mingling sweet and bitter on the palate.

Tried this at the Federal Taphouse in Lancaster PA. Good looking beer with an outstanding smell and taste. A lot going on that makes this an Interesting ale and one to try. Would pick it up again depending upon cost, good but not good enough if cost is high.
