Poured into a snifter
A- Pours pitch black with a fizzy dark tan head that settles and eventually disappears completely, leaving no lace behind
S- Lots of dark fruit on the nose; notes of dried fig, prune juice and raisin. Dark chocolaty malt and some booze close it out
T- The dark fruit flavors directly follow the aromas; big fig and prune flavor, some chocolate covered cherry, blueberry, chocolaty malt that is just slightly roasted, sweet finish with alcohol on the end
M- Heavy and viscous body with low carbonation, chewy mouthfeel with a smooth finish, some warming alcohol on the linger, but pretty well contained for 11.5%
O- Dark fruit is showcased in this brew and its a nice change from a typical porter. It's definitely a sipper, but not overpowering

Poured into a snifter at the Avenue Pub, NOLA
A: Mahogany brown with a one finger tan head that hangs out on the balcony. Thick lacing.
S: Heavy duty chocolate, molasses, some charred notes.
T: Like drinking from a chocolate fountain. Heavenly chocolate blends with molasses and a lightly smokey flavor. I could sip this one all night. Just divine.
M: Medium with heavy with a chewy medium carbonation.
O: One of the best porters I've ever tried. Find it and be wowed. Highly recommended.
Serving type: on-tap
