Reviewed from notes. Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a Brooklyn Brewery snifter.
A: Essentially black and opaque, with low visible carbonation, and a thin tan head. This has a nice look, and coats the sides of the glass nicely.
S: Rich roasted malts, cacao nibs, some booze and vanilla – this smells almost barrel aged, but I don't see that it is on the label.
T: Tons of deep roasted malts, cacao, and some balancing bitterness (mild hoppy & more roasted), tobacco, some vanilla, and some burnt toffee near the end, with a fairly mild alcohol heat. Roasted bitterness in the hang.
M: Medium body - not as full as some of the best porters available. The hefty ABV is well-hidden, and has fairly low carbonation sensation.
O: This is a really nicely done BIG porter. Likely blurring the lines between porter and stout, or maybe crossing it entirely, but very tasty. A good offering from Evil Twin for sure.

Pitch black pour with a thin dark brown head, quick to sticky lacing.
Smell of dark malts, black olives, touch of cream, booze, cherries, plum, cocoa bean, faint coffee, lots of stuff, but doesn't really scream out anything in particular.
Taste is something else. Huge boozy dark fruit character, with big raisin, juicy figs, slightly sour cherries (that clearly remind of nice sherry), thrown into rich milky chocolate with caramel and molasses. Smokey roasted coffee beans and dark malts start peeping, backed by huge vanilla, some licorice, faint cinnamon and anise. American hops bring faint citrus and a green note way in the back, closer to the finish. Finishes with a mild bitterness.
Smooth and creamy, nice body, but the booze is a real hit, very strong from start to finish. Rich aftertaste with that dark fruity goodness and the minimum of roast.
Leaving the bad-handled booze aside, this is a great tasty... well, i'd say Russian imperial stout, but that doesn't really matter. Handle with care.

APPEARANCE: Pours a oily dark brown color with a tan head and sheet of brownish lace. Looks like the heavy hitter it is.
SMELL: Roasted, char, quite smokey.
TASTE: Chocolate, roast, coffee, some booze. Big chocolate and general malty ness. Fair bitterness and heat is not too strong
FEEL: Full bodied with a smooth and creamy texture.
OVERALL: This is a damn fine Stout.
