Chill-hazed dark gold with a pocked carpet of white that's gone fast but trails.
Surprising musty grain sack nose with some mouldy grapefruit skin.
Lemon biscuit with a big whack of grapefruit and lemon hard candy.
Lemon honey herb cough drop end and long bitter linger.
Crisp, salty, oily, a bit thin.

Simple plan, but it's a good one. Like a dumbed down Punk IPA, and that's not a hugely ambitious beer to begin with. Hoppy enough (citrus and IBUs both) to let the hipsters know they're drinking hops, and sessionable like that, but a real beer geek will think this is, like, sooo 2010.

Hazy orange under a loose, sticky white head. Lightly hoppy aroma..leafy, peppery citrus, hay, and earthy pine sap. Flavor is bitter grapefruit, lemon - very "rindy" - spicy and earthy, sort of dirty and dank, with some cereal grain and yeast. Medium bodied and snappy. Very drinkable despite the not-necessarily-ideal blend of hops. Not what I was expecting, but interesting and worth a try.

Pours hazy gold color with a lovely foamy 2 finger white head that was full of bubbles and faded very slowly, leaving great sticky lacing coating the sides, foamy rings as it goes down and a pretty thick layer on top.

Smells of malt, lightly toasted grains, caramel, light grapefruit, citrus hops, biscuit, herbs , wheat bread, grass or hay, and cardboard funk; it really lacks the hops and fruity aroma I expected from Evil Twin and was mostly grainy smelling to me.

Taste also lacks the hops and fruity aroma as it’s more malty and grainy like a hearty wheat bread, with cracker, toasted grains, wheat or yeast funk, toffee, pine cone, citrus hop bitterness, mild grapefruit, tea leaf, spices like pepper, coriander and light dry grassy herbs. English pale ale seems to be my impression of this malt forward brew that has hop balance, but tasted like a toasted grainy pale ale.

Mouthfeel is average to smooth, with a medium body, average zesty carbonation and a toasted grain finish that is slightly bitter leaving a bready taste that was on the dry and yeasty side.

Overall it was decent, but I love the Evil Twin stouts and how bold and flavorful they are so this was a change of pace and much more basic tasting beer, which was a let down as I always expect an assault on my tongue when purchasing an Evil Twin brew. Decent and easy to drink, but I wanted great and bordering on extreme craft beer from this can. Oh well, on to the next Evil Twin experiment.

I poured this from the can, it has a golden color body with a small fizzy head. The aroma has a crisp hoppy and citrus smell to it. The taste is hoppy and citrus. It also has a maltyness on the back of the tongue. Mouthfeel is smooth and overall a good pale ale.
