Pours a thick dark brown color with a thin light brown head.
Smell matches taste with a creamy chocolate, coffee front with a slight, almost doughnut like undertone and a hint of vanilla.
Has a heavier body and mouthfeel and the alcohol perceptible in a very complementary way.
Overall, an enjoyable sweet porter. I would love to try other Evil Twin offerings.

From 02/26/14 notes. Bought a bottle of this at Whole Foods in NYC for ~$14. 22 oz. bottle poured into a tulip.
a - Pours a deep dark brown, almost black color, with two fingers of dark tan head and moderate carbonation evident. Looks amazing, love it.
s - Smells of dark chocolate, roasted malts, dough, toasted malts, coffee, sweet chocolate, and bready malts. Nice nose.
t - Taste follows the nose pretyt closely but is a bit sweeter. tastes of dark chocolate, sweet milk chocolate, roasted malts, bready malts, toasted malts, vanilla, coffee, cream, caramel, and burnt malts. Taste is a little bit better than the nose and has a bit more going on.
m - Thick, full body and moderate carbonation. The body is thick and smooth and has no heat at all which is great.
o - Overall I thought this was a really good beer and I am a huge fan of this series of beers. That being said, I would rank this slightly below the Natale cherry version, and both significantly below the normal IBB and the BBA IBB. Given that I can buy IBB for the same price on the regular, I don't see myself picking this one up again, but it is still a good beer.
