On tap at Pin's.
Looked like your typical attractive stout: dark brown-black with a small tan head that retained as a ringlet; dots of lacing on the glass. Aroma came off more as just a sweet stout than anything resembling donuts, but it was still good. Dark malts, mild coffee roast, almondy sweetness, cocoa. Taste was similar, roasty dark malts, cocoa, coffee, a distinct "donut" flavor in the background, that is to say, a vanilla-almond sensation that vaguely resembled a donut glaze, but not really enough for my eyes to light up and say, "omg this is liquid donutz!" Mouthfeel was on the heavier side of medium, some boozy heat in there, making this a smooth drinker, but one you want to take your time on. Good overall, and I'd like to try it again.
The regular, non-imperial Biscotti Break remains my favorite of the series.

Amazingly dense, foamy, mocha colored, four-finger, head. Great head retention. Missing lacing. Brew is damn thick and black. I can't believe they refer to this as a porter...but, ok.
Crap top of milk chocolate and coffee. Touch of hazelnut. I hate hazelnut, but this one isn't bad. Very nutty too; much like an english brown. Lots of caramel.
Thick, creamy, and chewy. Lots of flavors; chocolate, caramel, coffee, hazelnut, syrupy, dry. Carbonation is fluffy and flowing, nearly amazing. Bitterness is spot on, brought to you by, Hazelnut. Sweetness is wet flowing and easy, not sugary. Mouthy feel and nice lingering flavors, makes for great drinkability. No heat or booze bite. Smooth. Bitter-sweet, literally.
I guess I was thrown by "Doughnut Break"...I was expecting something heavenly doughnut'y. I guess I was wrong. This brew rocked! I would Highly Recommend at least a try, even at $20/22oz. It's delicious.
