Picked this up a few years ago, then came across another one recently.

Its one of those golden/light orange colors that was probably yellow at first, but then the blueberries changed the color. The aroma was largely in conformity with berliner guidelines, the smack of wheat and lemon, with a smidge of berry-ness to it.

Taste is nice, right off the bat, Evil Twin actually stayed within the lines and didn't try and make a super imperial 14% berliner weisse like they often do with other styles. Good wheat pop. Mild acidity. Not too sour to make it a wild ale masquerading. Mouth feel is real good, nice and light bodied per style. Finishes dry, small impact from fruit to it. Carbonation was right where it should be.

On the downside, this is waaaay too expensive. That fits right in with Evil Twin's way of working. If it were priced anywhere near normal, I would recommend it. Good beer, bad price.

Light colored pour until the blueberries fall out, then it turns to a burnt orange color. And yes I said blueberries fell out. Nice foamy off-white head of 1/2 finger.

Aromas of cracker, blueberry tannins, some basic lactic acid and Berliner aromas - lime, stone, blueberry cereal.

Flavor is watery to start, and then some polite blueberry and limestone come in, followed by blueberry puff cereal and basic grains. White wine vinegar, lemon juice, white bread, lactic sourness, hard water.

Feel is spot on for a Berliner, plenty carbonated and a slight tannin-y dry finish.

Overall, pretty decent. I'd have it again. Nice mild blueberry notes on top of a basic layer of solid Berliner.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light gold color with a very thin white head that fades very quickly and leaves very little lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains esters, blueberries, wheat and light caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out with a very strong bite of sourness followed by flavors of blueberries and esters. Then some breadiness comes in from wheat and a hearty but not too heavy malt character. The hops presence is very mild as you would expect and there is not much balance. The after-taste is slightly sour.

M: Crisp but not very smooth, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.

O: Not very tasty, does not go down easily, not too filling, mild kick, decent representation of style, there are definitely better blueberry sour beers than this one.

22 oz bottle crafted at Westbrook Brewing in SC.
Pours slightly hazy, with just a suggestion of blue in the whit cap. Lots of visible carbonation for several minutes.
Aroma: some sweet caramel and blueberry mix with unattractive funk.
Flavor: moderately high tartness; lightly funky; mildly fruity with less prominent blueberry than hoped for.

Medium-light body with crisp, medium-high carbonation.

Overall: a bold, lightly funky version of the style.
