Poured from a 22. Nice thin sustained lacing, very clear, light copper. Aroma is nelson sauvin goodness with such a slight trace of brett that it's almost undetectable. The hops meld so well with the yeast. No tartness at all with just a little hint of the yeast funk . It's really hard to believe this is a 100% brett fermented IPA. Not the biggest or best of anything in the typical IPA caragories but if you enjoy something unique and well crafted this is for you.

A: deep gold and hazed; pillar of white head a few fingers high (watch yer pour - this is a heady beer); laces and motes down the sides

S: bright fruits, citric and tropical; oak white wine barrels; mild brett aromas throughout

T: the hops and brett work with the malt to bring some suggestions of pale fruits and dry, dank funkiness; slightly woody

M: light and crisp; fuzzy and fizzy; modest bitterness; drying finish with brett written all over it

O: there's something distinct about IPAs with brett done right, and I suppose there will be detractors, but I enjoy the balance struck between hops (in this case, Nelson Sauvin) and brett and pale malts. In this beer, balance is good term, and all the elements of the ale mesh together very smoothly. Sister ales, Femme Fatale Brett and Femme Fatale Yuzu Pale, are notable as well.

Pours a cloudy golden body with decent head and lace and has an aroma that is airy, floral, hoppy but not overpowering with minimal sweet malts. Beer retains an easy drinking smoothness even with the dry finish and a large citric hop presence, perhaps the yeast smoothens it out and there are touches of sugary/grapey sweetness. Mostly, the beer has dry, grassy hops with some spice and tartness (possibly could be described as sourness) thanks to the Brett. A wonderful change of pace from other IPAs or "hoppy Saisons" and I really enjoyed this as all the little different aspects worked well together.

A: Pours a cloudy medium golden yellow in color with moderate to significant amounts of active visible carbonation quickly rising from the bottom of the glass and some faint straw yellow highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a half finger thick film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of tropical/pineapple and citrus/tangerine hops over moderate aromas of brett funkiness and just a touch of slightly sweet grainy malts.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of slightly sweet grainy malts which are quickly overtaken by the moderate to strong flavors from the hops - tropical/pineapple, citrus/tangerine, and tropical/passionfruit. There is a light flavor of light fruit/white grape and a moderate amount of brett hay-like and spicy funkiness. Light amounts of bitterness which does not linger for long.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly prickly with a light to moderate amount of dryness.

O: Really nice combination of flavors/aromas between the Nelson Sauvin hops and the Brett - they really complement each other and there is enough complexity to keep it interesting. Easy to drink and very enjoyable - well hidden alcohol.

2 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours lightly hazy bright gold color with a 2-3 finger dense and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big pineapple, tangerine, melon, white grape, passion fruit, orange peel, clove, pepper, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright hops and moderate fruity/spicy brett notes; with good strength. Taste of pineapple, tangerine, white grape, passion fruit, melon, orange peel, clove, pepper, floral, grass, pine, and grass/yeast earthiness. Good amount of pine bitterness and peppery yeast on the finish; with lingering notes of pineapple, tangerine, melon, white grape, passion fruit, orange peel, clove, pepper, floral, grass, pine, and grass/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of bright hops and fruity/spicy brett flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Brett IPA. All around great complexity and balance of bright hops and fruity/spicy brett flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

This funky little ipa pours a hazy golden straw color with a fizzy white head that lasts throughout the pour and leaves beautiful legs and lacing. The aroma is an abundance of fresh hops with notes of lemon, orange peel, coriander, and funky yeast. It is quite refreshing and pleasant smelling. The mouthfeel is lighter yet still sticky. Quite effervescent and thirst quenching. The flavor is an overwhelming bitter hop parade. There is a note of saison funkiness present but it is muted by all the bitter citrusy hops. It is very good but I'd rather get a bit more of the Brett notes than just all hops.
