Pours a murky golden with a small frothy ivory head that dissipates to a ring of foam.

Citrus in the form of lime and grapefruit dominate the aroma. There's a bit of subtle earthiness. Almost has a Belgian yeast character.

Flavor reveals dominant grapefruit underpinnings, with onion and resin countering toward the lightly bitter finish. Bitterness increases late, but does not overwhelm. Malt is subtle and slightly bready.

Body and carbonation are moderate, with a slightly astringent finish and modest alcohol warmth.

Grapefruit and onion dominate, overall, and the balance is decidedly flavoring hops. Bitterness is at a good level for my palate. I'm not a huge onion hop fan, though.

A: Light straw gold; clear with a steady bubble stream; nice retention and webby lace; three-finger, sudsy head.

S: Clove; peppery phenols; hints of juicy citrus; faint malt aroma.

T: Bready malt with some Belgian yeast spice; tangerine and tropical fruit hoppiness follow; maybe some pineapple, too; chalky bitter finish.

M: Light - medium body; high carbonation; dry.

O: Brettanomyces?!? The heavy dose of Nelson Sauvin hops must mask the funk... A tasty style-bender... I often don’t think I’ll really like these Evil Twin twists, but this is good stuff; I’d have it again, for sure.

22oz bottle into a snifter

A: Pours a very clear light golden color with two fingers of fluffy white head. Great retention and lacing. Active carbonation throughout. Near perfect.

S: Nice citrusy hops combine with stone fruits and some funk. Smells quite dry. White wine comes in afterwards. The hop/funk/wine go together extremely well in a fruity/funky/earthy kind of way. Impressive.

T: Citrus and pine hops are now upfront. Quite dry with a touch of funk, but not much. Wine is way in the background. Very subdued. When the yeast is poured, it provides a bit more flavor that helps the dryness.

M: Medium thickness with great carbonation. Exactly where it needs to be.

O: The aroma on this is amazing. The taste is just slightly above average. Not bad.

Its hazy apricot orange body sports mango yellow edges. I've got fruit on my mind already with this all Brett IPA. Creamy matte white head sits a finger tall on top. A steady amount of minuscule bubbles keeps the ring of head afloat along all sides of the glass.

Ripe and juicy tropical fruit comes in waves. Freshly squeezed pineapple juice comes in heavy on the nose. Mango and papaya carry an almost equal weight. A sweet vinous character made up of apple skins and grapes sits underneath. More tangy than tart with a clementine character being responsible for this. This smells more like a tropical fruit smoothie than an IPA and I am absolutely in love.

The pineapple is still prominent in the taste as it is the first to assert itself but its impression isn't as long lived. The vinous, tangy, and tart character moves in middle of the mouth and the sweet and luscious pineapple becomes more of a casing. Grape skins and a hint of Riesling are part of the goodness the Nelson Sauvin hops imbue in this beer. Papaya and mango come back into the equation near the finish where they're met with a raw leafy hop character. The finish is dry with a kiss of biscuit.

Is this bottle conditioned? Its medium body, incredibly creamy feel, and tingly under pronounced carbonation makes me think it is. The joy in drinking this beer is just as much in the feel as it is in the smell and taste.

Wow. This is my first beer from Evil Twin and this Brett IPA far exceeded my expectations. My favorite interpretation of an American IPA is ultra fruity and balanced without crushing you with its bitterness and this encapsulates exactly that. It has got weight, depth, balance, and is loaded with flavour. This sits comfortably in the top 3 IPA's I've had to date. What a treat!

Poured into a Nostradamus flute glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a thin white head that dissipates into small patches and a ring around the glass, with light lacing. Aroma of orange and grapefruit, lighter stone and tropical fruit. Faint hints of grassy hops and brett. Flavor of orange, tangerine, grapefruit, light sweet malt, wild yeast slightly earthy Finishes drier with spicy hops and brett. Light bodied with nice active carbonation. A nice IPA and wild ale hybrid. Fairly complex with an interesting flavor progression and a couple of flavor elements that are unidentifiable, but interesting.
