Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a Portsmouth brewery snifter.

The color is a bright, cloudy yellow with a light white head and some nice lacing left on the glass.

The smell is bright hops in the nose some good sweetness that reminds me of spring. There is some grassy aromas and a nice bright orange and mango aroma with smelled like there was fruit in this beer.

The flavor is biscuit dough flavor at first with a tease of citrus and a tease of pine then a smack of bitterness. There is a slight push of bitterness that takes you aback before letting of earthy pine in. Resiny citrus flavor runs deep in this beer like a vain breathing life into the back-end where more bitterness punishes briefly before letting go.

The feel of this beer is a medium which does try to be a bigger beer. The bitterness lingers a bit and makes it feel heavy but only briefly.
This beer does go down well even with a certain amount of finessing. A hop lover must try.

Bottled on 2/12/14: Pours hazy yellow gold color with a ton of chunks swirling around in the beer that lead up to a 2 finger foamy snow white head that was full of small bubbles and faded slowly leaving really good foamy lacing and rings as it went down and a layer on top. For a 12 oz bottle, this sure had a ton of yeast for an IPA.

Smells of orange peel, lemon zest, piney hops, grapefruit, malt, citrus hops, toasted grains, and faint spices. After the citrus fruit and citrus hop notes subside there are whiffs of biscuit, caramel and perfume or potpourri that resemble spices.

Tastes of bitter grapefruit pith, lemon, orange peel, citrus hops, piney hops, toasted grains, coriander, biscuit, spices like pepper or very dry tea, light caramel, dry grass and earthy notes. Almost seems dry hopped or like a dry leaf was used to stir the brew as the hops burst gives way to dry grainy flavors that seem more like a dry cracker or yeast.

Mouthfeel is average to smooth, with average carbonation, a medium almost chewy body and a very bitter grapefruit-like finish that is near dry and leaves grainy biscuit traces.

Overall it was a good IPA, and a little different from your standard IPA flavor since the grainy flavor and bitterness were amped up, but a little bit of a let-down since my expectations for all Evil Twin beers is that they will be great.

A-a hazy golden color with a fingers worth of white head that leaves a thin layer of lace on top

S-pale malts, citrus, grapefruit, light fruity sweetness

T-pale bready backbone with citrus and grapefruit and a bitter finish with each sip

M-medium body, moderate carbonation, bitter finish

Overall a very decent IPA, easy to drink, but nothing extraordinary

Picked up a growler of this last weekend. Good, but maybe not their best. Color was a yellow-ish copper. Some head, but not a ton of carbonation, easy mouthfeel for an IPA. The taste was pretty mild for an IPA. Some hops and slight citrus flavor, again, not strong. Floral aroma. All in all a slightly above average IPA, just not super flavorful.
