What makes a great leader? First of all a perfectly balanced blend of qualities; the ability to stand out - be authoritative without overpowering. Show courage and endurance - you will lead the way and set standards. Very important; be appealing and refreshing to the people. This stereotypical portrait applies whether referring to politics, religion or maybe even this outstanding IPA.

Evil Twin : Falco
Pours a pale golden color with a short lived white head.
Aroma of grainy pale malts and citrusy, piney hops.
In the taste, pine and citrus residue, hop oils, dusty malt, grass. Solid bitterness and good bright citrus flavor from the hops.
Medium bodied, well carbed beer with a bit of a chalky finish but it works here.
Overall, a nice quality ipa

Could have sworn I reviewed this already. Untappd reflects a check in. Tow the line.
Pours golden yellow. Doesn't achieve full on clarity, comes close. 1/3" white head. Looks very familiar as 'beer'. Light dry hopping going on here. Usual pine and grapefruit rind suspects.
Taste appears they're going for the typical west coast ipa. Usual not quite there amount of hops for Mikkeller/Evil Twin beers compared to their more domesticated counterparts. Also the usual inflated price compared to their domestic counterparts. Mouth feel reveals a decently crisp body and back end. Probably the best aspect of the beer. Could be improved with an even slightly lighter malt bill, this was like somewhere in between the ibu caramel wars and today in terms of malt heft.
I don't think the beer was bad at anything, it just follows in a long line of beers from the brothers that is far from being elite hoppy stuff despite a price tag well above almost every elite hoppy beer.

1 US pint can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma of piney and fruity American hops, including notes of tropical fruits. Distinctly hoppy flavour, pine needles and resin, tropical fruits and grapefruit, very bitter finish.

Murky yellow hue.
Frothy white head; strong lace.
Lemon citrus nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Bitter lemon flavor.
Refreshing but a touch too tart for me.

This pours a nice light hazy gold with fair foam and lacing, but not long lasting on both counts...
The aroma is a slendid mix of fruity citrus and a hint of malt which blend nicely together...very pleasant to the old factory.
As for the taste it starts out as a nice IPA flavor with an ending of a pils somewhat for me. It is very enjoyable and drinkable brew tho. The aroma comes thru nicely over the palate, which makes this very enjoyable for me.
And the feel is where it seems to fall off a tiny bit for me, but not to the point of bad...by no means, it is just that it changes just as the taste does with it finishing a little dryer than expected.
All in all very nice beer to say the least...an Evil Twin must!

What is it with the bright white head in all Evil Twin’s beer? You guessed it, this one too. Color is golden. Nose seems like a lager, a lighter one. Taste is tropicalvand bready. The after taste is where the magic happens. Lots of back bite that carries this beer.
