I'd not seen this one until tonight's visit to The Ginger Man. Beers here vary by the day sometimes! According to the barkeep, they just got it in yesterday.
Evil Twin Falco IPA is an excellent, well rounded beer. Faint haze when held to the light, strong citrus and especially grapefruit and just a tang of pine resin, very nice. Not quite like my memories of chewing on that #2 cedar pencil when I was a kid, but made me smile nonetheless.
Fruity-ish but bitter all the way though. Excellent nose. Effervescent but not overly carbonated. Continue to emit streams of bubbles even after several minutes.
Lacy white head, slowly diminishes but still hanging around after 5 minutes of drinking.
Will have to make a trip to Connecticut - didn't know that there was such an excellent beer! Kudos!

Poured from a bottle into a shaker pint, the beer is a bright, hazy, goldenrod coloring with a low profile, filmy, bright white head that clings all over the glass. Aromas of toasted grains, lemon, pine tassels, and floral and spice highlights. Very mild but full nose, very inviting and balanced. Flavors are toasted and bitter forward, with a green feel all around. Piney notes, grass, and peppery spices, with a biscuit backbone and a lemony highlight. You get a solid, woodsy feel the entire time you drink this beer, but the citrus notes highlight it very well, keeping it light and crisp. The body helps accentuate that characteristic, as well, remaining light and smooth. Piney and citrusy aftertaste, with a sharp, tart, and slightly drying finish. Solid, refreshing brew.
