Advertised as an IPA there was little to give that way as the hop profile was weak and the grainy malt backbone seemed more prevalent. It started with a light straw yellow color. The nose was a bit bitter, a touch herbal but a cereal graininess really came through. The flavor followed suit with very light hoppiness and a near Pilsner maltiness. What was stellar was the feel because at 7 pct ABV this drinks so easy, smooth and sessionable. Tell me this is a stock Pale Ale or even a Pilsner and it scores higher but tell me it's an IPA and it falls short.

On tap at Joe Bean Coffee Roasters in Rochester, NY.

Pours a hazy yellow/orange, with a half inch head, and some, but not much, lacing down the glass.

Smells like grapefruit, orange, and pineapple.

The taste is similar. Really fresh and refreshing hoppy taste here. Not much malt to speak of, lots of juicy fruit flavors, and some nice, subtle, but lingering bitterness. The fruit flavors I'm getting from the hops are mostly orange and lemon.

Light to medium bodied, crisp mouthfeel, medium carbonation.

Was surprised, this one tasted really fresh and nice.
