A cloudy yellow/orange in color with a finger of head, decent amount of lacing. Smells citrusy - lots of grapefruit and pine with a bit of mango and caramel. Flavor profile is bitter up front with a citrusy sweet grapefruit/pineapple profile immediately following.. Bready backbone is muted instantly and a bitter pine hop lingers.
Medium in body with medium carbonation.
This is a very easy to drink ipa with a very appealing hop profile for both an experienced and new palate.

I am so excited to finally be tasting a number of offerings from this well renowned brewery. I recently purchased 10 of their products and this is the first I've tried. This ipa pours a hazy yellow straw color with a small white head and very decent lacing. The nose is quite hoppy with lots of notes of pine and some spice and citrus. There seems to be little malt present. Im expecting this one to be quite bitter. The mouth is smooth and on the lighter side of medium bodied and coats the palate quite well. Well I was right, very bitter especially for a single ipa. Tons of pine upfront, followed by citrus and a biting bitter finish; virtually no malt present at all. This is a good ale but could use some balance. Lets hope further Evil Twin beers have a little more craft to offer.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a Portsmouth brewery snifter.

The color is a bright, cloudy yellow with a light white head and some nice lacing left on the glass.

The smell is bright hops in the nose some good sweetness that reminds me of spring. There is some grassy aromas and a nice bright orange and mango aroma with smelled like there was fruit in this beer.

The flavor is biscuit dough flavor at first with a tease of citrus and a tease of pine then a smack of bitterness. There is a slight push of bitterness that takes you aback before letting of earthy pine in. Resiny citrus flavor runs deep in this beer like a vain breathing life into the back-end where more bitterness punishes briefly before letting go.

The feel of this beer is a medium which does try to be a bigger beer. The bitterness lingers a bit and makes it feel heavy but only briefly.
This beer does go down well even with a certain amount of finessing. A hop lover must try.

Bottled 1/10/14.

Pours a hazy honey yellow with a foamy beige head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus zest, and slight tropical fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest and tropical fruit flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and dry mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with some solid fruit forward hop aromas and flavors that get better as the beer warms up.

I'd not seen this one until tonight's visit to The Ginger Man. Beers here vary by the day sometimes! According to the barkeep, they just got it in yesterday.
Evil Twin Falco IPA is an excellent, well rounded beer. Faint haze when held to the light, strong citrus and especially grapefruit and just a tang of pine resin, very nice. Not quite like my memories of chewing on that #2 cedar pencil when I was a kid, but made me smile nonetheless.
Fruity-ish but bitter all the way though. Excellent nose. Effervescent but not overly carbonated. Continue to emit streams of bubbles even after several minutes.
Lacy white head, slowly diminishes but still hanging around after 5 minutes of drinking.
Will have to make a trip to Connecticut - didn't know that there was such an excellent beer! Kudos!
