On a pilgrimage for immortal craft beer we tripped on these heavenly coffee beans - threw them in and created damn good aromas, a thick fudge-like body, pitch black color and obviously only made in limited amounts. And the taste.... furthermore jesus!

Produced and bottled by Evil Twin Brewing at Cervesa del MONTSENY Sant Miguel de Balenyà, Barcelona, Spain.

Poured into a snifter - midnight pitch black pour with no foam risen.
Aromas of coffee, vanilla, almonds, slight chili pepper aroma im getting. Smells absolutely delicious.
Wow this is great. You get the coffee, vanilla followed by some chocolate aftertaste. A well executed imperial.
Body is full, not chewy but just right. Easy to drink. No carbonation. Sips dangerously low for the abv count.
Overall I liked this beer a lot!!! Definitely worth a try.

Bottle. Black color. Oily thick. Tan head.

May be a bit past it’s prime. This is very roasted. Almost has a smoke/char flavor to it. Caramel and chocolate malt. The coffee is very faint.

Thick and rich body. Earthy/grassy bittering hops in the finish. Not for me.

Poured from 11.2-ounce can into a petite snifter. Appearance of motor oil, which is not a bad thing. Aggressive pour yielded a rather thin head of reddish-tinged dark tan. The aromas and flavors were at first dominated by a medicinal note that gradually faded as the beer warmed. Dark roasted malt, with its companion notes of chocolate, licorice, and molasses and a hint of tart cherry. Quite a bit of alcohol warmth and a little chili heat on the palate. This is on the heavier side of medium bodied, not syrupy. I was not able to decipher the code on the can, so I don't know how old this sample was. (I picked up a single on the discount shelf.) Still a pretty solid offering.

AMC Jesus is a black and thick imperial stout. The alcohol is kept in check with this beer and it has a nice coffee background. This stout is very approachable but I was expecting something quite more intense.

Biscotti Break is such a great beer that I was a bit let down from this offering from Evil Twin.

Picked up a single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop 6-7-19 for $6.99. No canning date but it has a code of ET 18-79 which suggests canning in early 2018. Consumed on 7-5-19.

Beer poured dark brown with a very nice nitro like black head with the original pour.

Nose is cocoa with a very light touch of coffee.

Taste is dark cocoa forward with a touch of coffee in the background. Somewhat sweet, but hopped enough to balance things out.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a nice nitro smoothness.

Overall a good beer that may have some age behind it given the lack of coffee. It seems the "Jesus" series has increased price wise from a year ago driving the value aspect down for me.
