Received as an extra in a trade, poured into my Duvel tulip.

A - Poured a very nice oily black hue with a thin half finger mocha head that fades to leave a thin mocha halo and like mocha wisps. Quite nice.

S - More malty sweetness and brown sugar than anything. Very faint older vanilla, light dark fruits and a faint metallic aroma. Getting no coffee at all.

T - Taste is a fair amount of roast here, almost smoky. Nice roasted malts, sweet brown sugar, touch of molasses. Faint vanilla bean along with dark fruits, the coffee is on the fainter side, almost nonexistent. The alcohol was hidden very, very nicely though.

M - Mouthfeel here is really, REALLY nice. Alcohol is hidden incredibly well, smooth and creamy. The shining aspect.

O - Overall this beer, while tasty, really lacked coffee. Very drinkable though!

Sampling right now on 3/13/14. Comes in a 11.2 ounce (330ml) single bottle for like $5.00 and is From the Evil Twin Brewing Companyy at the Cerversa del Monstesent del Sant Miquel de Balenya, Barcelona, Spain. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a snifter.

Pours a really dark brown which is almost black, as you can't see through it. A good amount of sediment is left in the bottom of the bottle. A half-finger beige head settles down to just along the sides of the glass. Lots of sticky lacing is seen. The aroma is of roasted malt, chocolate and black espresso coffee. The taste of strong coffee and roasted malts hits your tongue right up front. The hint of bitter-sweet dark chocolate is mixed in there as well. Wow! This is a sipping brew. Really don't taste the alcohol at all but I am sure it would sneak up on you fast at 12%. No bitter aftertaste is noted but a ton of black coffee flavor for sure.
