Drove up not expecting much based on the aging exterior, but found a respectable craft beer selection inside, and an extensive bottle collection spanning 50 years since the store opened, according to the friendly clerk. So many cool old labels from decades past, and a few more recent ones like the original Edel-Pils.
The beer selection is in the back coolers and adjacent shelves, the coolers are helpfully organized by style, something you don't see too often. Lots of variety, mostly an american craft focus. New Glarus Thumbprint beers, Berliner Weisse was here, and Winter Warmer still too, not a hot seller I guess. Ale Asylum and Capital seasonals, Bells, Lagunitas, FFF, NB La Folie, Alaskan, Founders, and more. Hopothesis beers were featured, I guess they contract at Minhas. The unique find for me was locally brewed Pecatonica Nightfall Lager (on sale too). It's currently contract brewed at Minhas by the owners/brewers of Pecatonica, who are opening a taproom in Warren, IL soon.
Overall an unlikely find in this small town, not too far from New Glarus.

Stopped by this place today while in Monroe had a couple things to take care of up that way so figured id try and make the best of my trip. Found it by doing a search on places here at BA.
I pulled up not expecting much as its not a very big place but when I walked inside first thing I saw was FFF staring me in the face. ( Heaven's parted and light shined down ) so quickly snached up couple 6ers of Gumballhead Pride and Joy. Of course no ZD but Im happy anyway.
Huge selection of NG offerings grabbed Berliner Weisse , Serendipity & Moon Man for me ($7.99 a 6er hell ya ) and case of spotted cow for my son in law. then realized they had Mix 6 section. and thats where I went nuts Oso's, Ale Asylum, Capital, & a bunch of stuff I haven't tried yet. cant even begin to list everything I got. but lets just say i dropped a Hundo in the place on just beer.
The owner was there and was very friendly said they were expanding the craft section ... most everything was cold as well. Bonus. I'm not saying I was drinking and driving but after a visit to the cheese capital and my hour and 15 min drive home. I might or might not have opened a couple.
