I had this beer on-tap in a tall, narrow glass at the brewery in Katy.
Appearance: medium-light golden hue with a moderately hazy body and a thin layer of ivory foam.
Smell: lightly semi-sweetly malty with a nice hint of banana. Good!
Taste: wheaty malt up front with a subtle but nice sweetness and banana character. Not in your face as much as a German hefeweizen, but considerably better than most American hefes.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess. I like it!
Overall: well-done, tasty, and drinkable indeed. It’s chilly today in Houston, but I’m betting they can’t even keep it in stock in summer.

Can from Total Wine Houston enjoyed in the hotel room.
Hazy dark straw color with a decent sized off white head that slowly recedes. Bready honey malt with light banana and clove with earthy spicy hops to counter. Not bad.

Honestly I think whoever brewed this one read about a wheat beer and had never had one. It's not horrible except for the fact that it's almost flat but, neither is it good!
You can tell the brew itself has plenty of corn and rice but most American style beers do. I detect no haze and almost no taste from wheat. It's slightly watery but not as bad as say, Coors.
Has very little of the fruity funk you expect from a wheat beer. I even let it warm up to see that it actually tasted like. Way too clean, a bit of banana on the tongue and some orange almost lemon peel on the nose.
And it's not badly made, it is consistent in taste, even warm it still fairly clean tasting. It's just in no way a hefeweizen.
No head to speak of, low carbonation. But i can't speak for the bottle only the cans so, that might be a problem for this batch. Maybe it was meant to be conditioned and someone didn't add in the shot of yeast and malt?
I'll finish the 6 pack as a punishment for thinking it would be good. Guess I should have bit the bullet and bought an imported hefeweizen instead of buying in made close to home.
To the brewer, spend less on the cool art for the label, more on the beer.

From a can produced 3/2/21. Cloudy golden color with visible yeast in the can. Smells of wheat and banana. Medium body, a little low on carbonation. Tastes of wheat and banana with some peppery hops on the finish. Looks like a hefeweizen, but could be mistaken for a pilsner.

Smells and tastes very reminiscent of a banana Laffy Taffy. My first impression was "pilsner?" as a couple of others have noted. Once it gets into your throat, you get smacked by the banana note after the initial pilsner blast. Mouthfeel is honestly the best part, no issues drinking this there. Hardly any aftertaste except a faint note of "weird banana" on your breath which I guess could be a downside but I felt it was inoffensive. Honestly, this entire beer is just that. Inoffensive. Nothing crazy, but not bad either. Kinda muted.
Tried out of a 6 pack can with a birthday printed "20/07"
This can shows an ABV of 5.0% rather than the 5.5 displayed on this beer's page, and 11.7 IBU.

Beer was golden but not very carbonated. Was trying a mix of beers with my husband and had him pour this one out and bring me a coors light instead. The el hefe we had tasted like someone doused a bottle rocket in it. A noticeable sort of gunpowdery taste. Disgusting.

Spent a $1.49 on a single 12oz bottle at Total Wine. It was a waste of $1.49. Not true to style, not much of anything worth noting.
