On tap at the Whip In in Austin.
The beer pours a golden orange color with a white head. The aroma has quite a bit of wheat and yeast in it, as well as a little bit of banana. The flavor is similar. All three aspects of a hefeweizen are present - bananas, cloves and wheat. The banana and wheat are the most abundant, but the cloves are also present and add a little bit to the beer. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

I'm a fan of Hefs. This is decent beer.
While it wasn't great it also wasn't bad. I wouldn't turn one down, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to order it again either. The mouthfeel was a bit on the thin side, but the carbonation level was very pleasant. I think the thing that kept this beer from stepping up to the next level for me was that the citrus notes usually present in this style of beer, seemed to land a little more on the sour side than most Hefeweizens.

On-tap at Rockwell Tavern. 14oz shaker glass brought forth a cloudy gold color without much head.
Nose is nice and Bavarian. Little more clove than banana, but enough of each to make the nostrils happy. Sweetness is fairly bold and snappy wheat aromas are low. Definite bubble-gum presence is noteable.
Big on the clove and phenolic yeast esters, but lacks the creaminess and texture of say…a Live Oak hefe. It actually has a slightly plastic-y flavor that I am not a big fan of. Id say it is just ok, nothing spectacular and could be much better with a few minor tweaks.
