Just moved to the area and was looking for a place to buy some quality brews when I found this place. They have a great selection, from Belgian and German beers to east and west coast micro brews. The guys that work there are super friendly and knowledgable. These guys love beer. I picked up a six pack of Sam Ads Double Agent IPL, a bottle of Delerium Noel, and a bottle of Long Trails Centennial Red.
They also have a good selection of whiskey.

Great beer selection for the area that it is in. I am in the navy and stationed at NAS Patuxant River, which is a couple miles down the road from this place. The employees are very helpfull. They love talking beer and helping you out. Also a good wine selection.

Just found this little gem a few weekends ago. Another small "mom and pop" establishment right around the corner from McKay's.
The arrangement of the store is a bit odd, but if you poke around long enough, you'll find plenty to choose from in terms of beer. A nice display of Stone and Merchant du Vin brews. Everything from Abita to Brooklyn to Anchor to Weyerbacher grace the selection. Display of Oskar Blues and BeerNuts upfront. Good selection of Dogfish Head and harder-to-find selections (e.g., My Anotonia for $7.99). Nugget Nectar and Southern Tier bombers galore. Nice imports -- some things I've never seen before. Of course the cold case is also stocked with the usual suspects, but there is more good stuff than the other.
Prices are fair, especially for the area. And, if you know what you want, they do have a drive-thru window. Several people used this while I was poking around and the guys running the store seemed efficient with this service.
The guys running the place were engaging, and I talked with one of them about the good "go-to" imperial stouts on the market, several of which they had (Rasputin, Weyerbacher, Brooklyn, Ten Fidy, etc.).
In addition to having a very good beer selection for the area, they carry a decent selection of wine and some hard-to-find spirits and liqueurs. I talked to one of the clerks in a previous visit and he said they cater to the military folks of the area. Many of the military people travel and return with special requests; they do their best to always accommodate said requests.
I'm in the Lexington Park area temporarily to complete a job contract and will frequent these folks often.
