Pours a hazy amber color with lighter edging. No head was forming, so I poured aggressively and got a large-bubbled "espuma" that was close to white in color but didn't last the way the bottle bragged.

Aroma is a little faint, but what's there is definitely a pleasant mix of English and American ingredient. Clean notes of flowery meadows and citrus fruits mingle together - I wish I could dig in deeper! Malts are leaning toward caramel but not too far.

This is the best Mexican ale I've had, Cucapa's offerings included. While light and floral, CAPA also brings a firm citric hop tone as well as a blast of caramel malt. Undertones of herbs and tobacco on the hop end and a firmly British toffee-diacetyl note on the finish.

CAPA starts with an aggressive American hop edge, smooths out to an almost watery smooth mouthfeel (lacking strong carbonation) and finishes with a caramel blast. With the mouthfeel and ABV, you always know you're drinking a pale ale, but when the ingredients jump in full-force, it's an excellent drinking experience.

Highly recommended wherever you can find it. According to the bottle (which has lots of great information if you can read Spanish) this non-pasteurized or filtered ale should last for several months, but is best consumed fresh.

Amber copper color with an incredible amount of fluffy to thick off-white head with great retention and leaving some laces.
Predominant aroma with an orange-lemon citrusy with caramel malt notes.
Flavor of tea leaves, toasted malts, honey, green pear, a touch of Cointreau liquor and spices and guaraná.
Light body with medium carbonation which is a bit effervescent.
Something quite didn’t match here, probably bad choice of yeast against the other ingredients. This is not an APA, it’s an awkward English Pale Ale.

750ml non pasteurized, bottle conditioned brew.

A: Poured a light mustard yellow hue, very fizzy, formed a huge 4 finger white head easily with a semi conservative pour. the foam isnt very dense, middle to small sized bubbles, being a bottle conditioned brew poured with grey granuled yeast. un translucent liquid. poor to none lacing.

S: wonderful bouquet of english barley malt and floral american cascade hops. pinapple juice and little bit of alcohol presence. faint pear and burnt caramel undertones. tobacco hints when warm.

T: to be honest the palate falls a little bit behind the nose, but not too much. bitter dominance, not much sweetness present. alcoholic finish with floral aftertaste.

M: medium carbonation, medium body, creamy finish.

O: pleasant to drink, would like a little bit more body and malty palate. this is a little watery for my taste, but dont get me wrong. nice APA effort from the mexican microbrewery. would have again sometime.
