Appearance: Cloudy hazy golden served in a proper weizen glass at Tin Man Brewery on a cold Winter’s evening. Small head and lace.

Aroma: Kinda funky, with definite accents of clove and fruity yeast. Pretty faithful here.

Taste: Spicy, with hints of banana, bubblegum and clove and yeast. Pretty solid, easily drinkable beer and close enough to a real German hefe to impress. I’d have another of these, no problem. Well-done, Bier! (438 characters)

grabbed this one a few hours ago during my first visit to a new small batch brewery in indianapolis.

poured cold from the growler an opaque honey'd gold to a dogfish head shaped pint glass with a 1/2 finger slightly off white head with a nice bit of retention.

great big hefe aroma of yeasts, ripe banana, and spice (cloves?), very pleasant.

bready yeasts way up front, followed closely by banana, spices and a hint of bubblegum - super big, chewy hefe. this is a really nice brew. very satisfying.

big bodied, medium carbonation, sweet, hints of sour in the super dry finish.

drinkability - absolutely. great tasting + 4.4abv, this is a serious session beer.

* my first beer from bier and i don't mind saying another couple as good as this one and i'm sold. (777 characters)
