12 oz bottle, 5.5% abv. Deep brown color, with chestnut highlights. Mocha head holds strong for a few minutes, eventually fading to a thin layer. A nice coating of lace on the sides of the glass.

Roasty malts, with a great mocha, vanilla, caramel smell. A little coffee, and milk chocolate in the nose as well.

Mouth is similar to the nose here. Roasty and a bit dry up front. A nice hit of coffee and bittersweet dark chocolate. A bit of caramel as well. Dry finish as well. A flash of vanilla at the end. Just enough bitterness to round things out.

Medium body, maybe just a touch on the light side. Nice carbonation here, keeping things on the softer side. Alcohol is a non factor. A very easy to drink porter with nice character.

12 oz.

Pours opaque black with a light tan film for a head.

Smells of roasted coffee and hazelnut with some vanilla and brown sugar. Also a hint of rich malt like you get from wort.

Coffee, cocoa, hazelnut, and light fresh hop, not really that bitter, although there is a nutty bitterness that is separate from that.

Medium body with a tingle of carbonation on the roof of the mouth.

A very unique porter to me, very different from most porters that I've had. For that reason alone I'm inclined to like it, and it's pretty good outside of that as well. Worth trying for sure, and a memorable experience.

Pours a light brown and black in the glass, a thin layer of parchment colored foam on the surface that dwindles quickly, leaving behind a sudsy ring around the edge and sticking drippy lacing.

Mellow chocolatey aroma, light esters when swirled.

Chocolate covered banana, dark chocolate, ashy roast. Dry charred bitterness in the aftertaste. Feel is a little thin, but it has plenty of flavor. Lingering flavors of roastiness last a long time. A nice drinkable Porter.

Thanks to Howard for this one!
