A - Poured out a cloudy, golden amber color with a three-finger, off-white head of bubbly foam it. left sudsy rings of lace on the glass.

S - It smelled slightly tart with a strong yeasty presence. Some grain aroma and fruitiness.

T - Tasted of plum and other dark fruits. Some spicy/yeasty bite. A nice taste of grains.

M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A medium bodied ale with clean finish.

O - This is a very tasty beer. 2nd Shift has made a very nice Belgian-style ale.

Poured from the bottle a lightly hazy pale yellow with a thin, bright white head. Light left with this one.

Lighter aroma of lemon, yeast, light herbs and table salt.

The taste was a touch weak, but opened with yeast, light lemon and medicinal notes. Picked up malts, table salt and a light bitterness in the finish.

Lighter bodied and dry with a moderate carbonation.

Not one of my favorites, but a solid Saison from the folks at 2nd Shift.

Pours a golden color. 1/3 inch head of a white color. Good retention and good lacing. Smells of strong yeast, strong bacterial funk, hint of hop, hint of alcohol, slight pale malt, hint of earthy malt, and Fits the style of a Saison / Farmhouse Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. There is also a slight dryness. Tastes of yeast, hint of alcohol, hint of hops, slight citrus, slight floral, bacterial funk, slight sweet malt, and earthy malt. Overall, great aroma, just slightly worse body, good complexity, good blend.

L - Pours a golden straw color, opaque and has a one finger eggshell head.

S - Grain, hay, yeast and lemon qualities. It's simple and straightforward.

T - Really tasty. Tart lemon, yeast, hay and simple herbs. Has a bitterness on the backend.

F - Light bodied and medium carbonation with a wet finish.

O - It's a pretty tasty saison to me. Not overdone or muddled down, but straightforward in flavor and enjoyment.

I'm reviewing Batch # 2, which I found to be slightly more tart than some of the others.

Poured into a wine glass from a 750ml bottle.

Pours a nice hazy straw golden color some bright orange notes are present. There is a nice dense white head that shows up about half an inch. Dense and lively.

Aroma is of nice grain and traditional farmhouse notes. Good slight phenolic yeast with some notes of horse blanket and hay. GRainy, earthy and bready.

Flavor follows the nose really well. Nice traditional saison grassyness and earthy notes. Flavor has slight fruity sweetness and yeasty phenols. Nice notes of mild funk and slight tartness. Delicious fluffy mouthfeel.

Pours a murky straw color. Lotta carbonation. Thick persistent white head.

Lemony. Tart. A little malt, but not much. Dry finish, no hop bitterness.

Refreshing, dry, acidic. At 6%, very drinkable.

I'm not a big fan of fruity beers, so adjust my rating accordingly.
