poured from a 12 oz bottle

A: Pale yellow slight head no lacing

S: smells like a lager nothing really stands out too much.

T: very light, watery somewhat crisp.

D: It does remind me of some what Mexican beers in the fact that it is very easy going, feels like you can drink these all day.

F: easy finish.

okay beer, wouldn't go out my way to drink it again. But the bottle was pretty dope.

L - Pours a light, tinted gold with a thin white head, which managed to stay for quite a while.

S - The main smells I got where a floral hops and a slightly metallic smell.

T - The taste was very mellow, I got a bit of smoked fruits and a bit of wheat and hops.

M&D - It felt average in the mouth and went down very easily.

Overall not too bad, I am sure it makes more sense when drinking it in the sun in Rio!

Thanks to Mike for bringing this one over. Poured from bottle into LA tumbler, watery yellow in color with a white head that is gone almost immediately. Smell is watered down malt, slightly bready, honey and a hint of saaz/euro hops. Taste is a very watery honey, not a whole lot going on in the flavor. Pretty one dimensional. Slightly sweet in an artificial way, crisp finish. A watery light body with a medium carbonation, not too fizzy. For an American Adjunct lager, this isnt the worst thing out there. Very easy to drink, but not in a good way - one of the more watered down beers I have had to date. An average version of the style.

Had this at Penguin Pizza in Boston, because it's on my Mug Club list.

Pours a clear, goldeny color, with a tiny fizzy head, typical of this type. (Think Bud)

Underwhelming scent of mild grains and malt.

The taste is dominated by the malt(s). There's a slight earthiness to go with the malts and grain. Has mild bitterness in the end. Bitter and grainy, much like my grampa. It goes down smooth enough for the style, which is one of my least favorite. Probably not as terrible as some of the reviews make it seem, but for what it is, it's at least average. Crisp and fairly drinkable. I wouldn't go out of my way to find it, but not the worst macro lager I've ever had.

33 cl bottle from Swedish "Systembolaget".
Tried it on April 4, 2006.
LAbel said 4.8% ABV.

Light golden color, white bubbly head.
Malty scent, smells of flour and oat meal.
Thin watery malty taste, low bitterness.
Still a bit refreshing. Not too malty. Sweet after taste.

It’s different from the badly made Swedish and Danish beers that they usually sell cheap in Sweden.

Pours with a bit more color than typical macro lagers. The head is very white but disappears after a few seconds, leaving just wisps on the surface.

There is a bit of hop aroma (Saaz perhaps?) and some sweet malt notes.

The flavor doesn't hold up to the appearance or smell, sadly. It is very light. The flavors aren't bad, they are just too weak.

The body is equally light and watery. The bubbles are nice and fizzy.

I almost would say this is a lawnmower beer, but it doesn't make that cut. There are plenty of beers with more flavor out there. Look elsewhere.

What can I say about this beer? It's from Brasil... at least they have their own beer, right? (Nod to Frank Zappa...). The packaging is obviously what sells it, and to be honest, I'm fairly impressed. It looks good, and it feels good in the hand. It catches the eye!

Beyond that it's a fairly basic golden lager, although I will note that it's not as clean as it could be.

It pours a clear yellow-gold body beneath an average sized head of bright white that drops relatiely shortly into almost nothing, and leaves behind only minor spots and splashes of lace.

The aroma is surprisingly malty, but with a clear adjunct bent to it, and there are also some grassy and herbal herbal hops present. I didn't detect any diacetyl as has been mentioned in previous reviews, although some dimethyl sulfide (cooked corn) is present at low levels. Oddly, or perhaps I should say surprisingly, it was not skunked despite the clear glass bottle. It may be that they're using pre-isomerized hops but I doubt it. I think I just got a good bottle - my sample came through someone in the brewing community, and I suspect that it hadn't gone through the regular distribution channels.

The flavor is as might be expected given the aroma... somewhat sweetish, mildly grainy maltiness with a bit of a toasted, aromatiic malt edge... a firm backing bitterness... some balancing grassy, herbal, and gently spicy hops. It's sweetish, grainy, then hoppy, and finally drying with a smear of hops and a bit of residual bitterness.

Overall, it's an average crisp golden lager that's not as clean as most American versions, but offers a little more character. I find it on par with some of the lesser Euro lagers, but well above many of the eastern European attempts. Not worth seeking out, but if you're in Brazil, hey, what does it matter? - you're in Brazil!!!

Whoo!

Pours a clear yellow/straw, decent white head forms, settles to a thin layer, lots of lacing, looks okay. Smell is sweet and corny, bit of grass and citrus, some peppery spices, but not very much is discernible. Taste is very sweet, corny, adjuncty sugar, wheat, bit of citrus. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. I've had worse!

Poured a basic piss yellow leaving a thin, white head that didn't hang around for much of a visit.

Gave off a faint aroma of sweet malts and corn -- not particularly powerful.

Also tasted a weak sweetness with some evidence of corn -- really no hop presence whatsoever.

Mouthfeel was thin, crisp, and highly carbonated, like a Poland Springs sparkling water with some corn mixed in. It was pretty drinkable -- like downing a soda.

A very average beer -- I guess it's OK for what it is -- a highly drinkable macrobrew. Nothing to ever go looking for. But a decent option for beer pounding. Or for cooling down after mowing the lawn or something like that.

A clear dark yellow brew in an interstingly shaped bottle. No real head. Very macro looking. Nose is gentle with a hint of yeast and slight sugarcane. Taste is cereal and metal, with corn and sugar. Not awful, just not anything spectacular. It's actually quite drinkable, although I can't see myself drinking it anywhere other than a South American restaurant.

A- Golden with white head. Very few bubbles. Head decreases quickly then dissappears. Colour is nice as it is noy too pale.

S- Smell of corn. Slight hint of fruit. Surprisingly unskunked despite clear bottle.

T- Very watery. Pleasant little fruity/bitter aftertaste. Really not that bad. Pleasant in an inoffensive bland sort of way. A faint corn/vegetable flavour appears as it warms.

MF- Light bodies/watery.

D- Musch as you might expect. Refreshing but ordinary macro lager from the tropics.

Pours a decent golden with a thin fizzy head that doesnt last.

Smells like a typical lager, grainy, corny and tastes somewhat like corona though a bit better.

A velvety mouthfeel, but a terrible finish, I'll never try this again, a good refreshing beer but thats about it.

Brahma
12 oz clear bottle
Jet ink reading on the side of the bottle: F.30.J.5.2 11:22
Served in a 8 oz glass and from the bottle

Pours a golden shade of yellow. Thin, fizzy off white colored ring for a head. Small carbonation bubbles are rising to the top of the glass.

Bland nose. Some whiffs of corn, grains and rotten fruit. A tad skunky as well.

Sweet and syrupy mouthfeel with most of the flavors coming from corn or rice. Grainy quality with some a slight fruity taste, but overall this is rather watery and bland. Easy to drink on a hot day when you are looking for something thirst quenching, but not a quality beer by any standards.Yet another imported macro brew with not much to offer.
