NOTE: i think that first and foremost you should remember that you're drinking a very very light beer before you go off condemning it. if you don't like drinking light beers don't waste your time trying it.

this poured a very unimpressive light straw yellow with very little head and minimal to no lacing. appears to be piss in a bottle. it had a smell to match. so you can believe that i wasn't very excited to take a sip. i was acutally quite suprised! very very smooth with a tiny bit of taste! there was actually a very small amount of taste to this. not much, but it's there! i was expecting that this was going to be an expensive corona with a bit more taste and i got exactly what i planned on.

would i buy this again? no. would i tell people that it's awful? probablly not, but i would never suggest it to anyone.

This is beer #4 from my Brazilian swill tick pack. Pours a light pale clear golden with white head and a nice amount of retention. The nose is nondescript. Some mild grainy notes with a touch of corny sweetness, zero hop character. Taste is much like the nose, very nondescript. This could be perceived as a good thing for the style as it is light, there aren't significant flavors that are offensive, and is easy drinking. For my palate, it is just boring and watered down. Mouthfeel is light and moderately carbonated. This beer is exactly what it intends to be, light flavorless swill that could be consumed in mass quantities on a summer day if one so desires. This is not something I am going to recommend people to seek out, however it is definitely more palatable (read: less offensive) than many others in the style.

12 oz. bottle poured into a mug.

Appearance: Pours a clear gold color with minimal head (more like a film), though it does lace the glass a bit towards the top.

Smell: Relatively subdued smell of corn and malts.

Taste: Dull malt flavors. There's some taste, and it's not bad, but it's far from exciting.

Mouthfeel: Light and generally smooth. A bit of grainyness and minimal tinglyness.

Drinkability: Certainly a drinkable beer, but it gets old fast.

It's what I like to call an average Central/South American beer. Gernally dull but not objectionable. Will pass on this in the future, unless I'm not paying...

Dominican Republic bottling, it's a little stronger, 5%, and made here. Poured into a chalice, Brahma is gold with a small white head leaving scattered lace.

Smell is a little buttered popcorn.

Taste is some sweet corny cereals, with a little buttery diacetyl, which actually provides some character, but it is quickly tiring. There's a dusty quality to it as well. My driver said this is what he keeps at the house. Sorry Julio, it may be the cheapest one at the store, but there's a reason.

Mouthfeel is dry, sharp.

Drinkability is ok, it's a light bodied, dry lager, but on the other hand, the diacetyl doesn't work for me. Below average.

This beer poured a clear golden, no head to speak of.
smell was vague, grainy aroma, made me a bit queasy.
taste was of an average Carribean brew.
mouthfeel was light and watery, tasted a bit flat to me as well.
drinkability is average, might make a decent lawnmower brew, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find it.

A clear bottle that shows how this beer is very pale. The head is nearly nonexistence after a quite slow pour.

Nearly no smell, some weirdly cooked grains.
A crisp taste and a good mouthfeel for a summer hot day, quite bubbly.

Overall an import that is not worth it but if I went to Brazil I would not mind having this beer again especially in a humid day.

This Beer isn't available for sale in Manitoba yet. How do I have a couple in my fridge? The Labatt's rep was in the restaurant having lunch with my boss today, and gave him a sixer of this stuff to try out. My boss, in turn, gives me two to try out. I'm sure he wants my approval to see if he should start selling it. I'm not holding out for much, based on the other reviews, and based on the fact that I've never had anything but bad Macro-Lagers from Central and South America...

I'm not going to be fooled by the very cool-looking clear 330ML bottle, not one bit. Poured into a Pilsner glass. There is almost no head whatsoever, which is surprising since I poured it into a PILSNER GLASS. Nose is all corn and veggie adjuncts, very malty, but sour. Just a bad "beery" smell.

First taste isn't as bad as I thought, but really nothing exciting. Again, bitterness is very very low, with mostly a nutty/bready alcoholic taste. I'm wondering how I can taste that much alcohol in a 4.8% beer. Mouthfeel is very, very watery, with just a bit of weak carbonation to make it so it isn't completely flat. As such, it slides down incredibly easy, but there's nothing here that's going to make me come back. Maybe if I was sitting on the Copacabana checking out Brazilian Bikinis?

How many weak Latin American Lagers can a Mexican Restaurant have? Well, if we start carrying this one, seven. Which is seven too many.

Brahma is like any other big macro beer/american adjuct lager. Pours golden clear with good carbontaion that provides an intial froathy white head that dissapates quickly. The smell and taste are bolstered by grain with some hop in an effort to balance the beer. This is a standard no-frills beer. Drink it cuz its beer.

Didn't really mind this one, came in a wierd shaped bottle, kinda like a ergonomically correct bottle or something, maybe better for holding so you don't drop when you had a few too many.
Pours a very weak clear yellow with a good size creamy white head that holds well and some decent lacing.
Aroma was kinda stale grass and corn along with some musty air in there, really has a green smell to it.
Taste was grassy, grainy kinda acidic and sour at the same time, little bitterness and really leaves your mouth dry,has some kinda tangyness to it as it goes down.
High carbs on this one,you can definetly feel it working, kinda makes you feel full.
Overall, not really that bad, drinkable on a hot day,the ladies sure seem to like it,maybe it's the bottle shape? Or maybe the carbs that give it that spritzy feel.

saw this beer from brasil thought i would try it, thought i would be disappointed and i was. pours a bright clear golden color with a one finger white head that rapidly fades and leaves a minimal lacing on the glass. smell is of corn taste is corn malt. mouthfeel light, good carbonation. not worth the 8.29 for a six pack you can buy much better beer for that.

33 cL bottle.

Aroma and visuals are pretty standard fare for a lager. Slightly more amber perhaps in color.

The taste was a little different than what I expected, there's a malty character unlike most of the other lagers I've had. No citrus tones or anything like that, almost a slight nutty/caramel taste to it. While it's pleasant and surprising at first, it lost my interest less than halfway through the bottle.

I do give it points for originality, but overall it's not a beer I'd go for repeatedly.

Appearance: Amber, low carbonation, minimal head retention. Pretty ordinary for the style, perhaps missing the adjuncts that make the head look good for longer.

Smell: Not bad for a macro. Grassy hop notes don't appear to have disintegrated on the long trip to Australia in the clear bottle. Not overly skunky. Not a complicated mix of aromas though.

Taste: Inoffensive on the tongue, but a bit rough on the palate. Wait - I just realised what this would taste like after your tenth. Drinkability just lost a mark. Otherwise, not very complex, but not too bad. No noticeable adjuncts, a fairly clean taste, no excess maltiness, but nothing too exciting either. Can't complain.

Mouthfeel: A little bit watery yet frothy. Not nice anyway.

Drinkability: Hmm... feels like there's a little reservoir on the palate, to store this beer up. When you've had enough, the reservoir is waiting to jump right out of your mouth again.

Overall: OK for a macro, but I'm only drinking this because my dad picked up a few cheap. Wouldn't ever choose to drink this.

Similar products, similar comments:
A product of Ambev, this beer is a commercial lager style, made for a mass of consumers wishing to drink something (slightly) different than water. It´s not too different in comparison with their competitors, many of them also produced by Ambev (Antarctica, Skol, Bohemia, Original).
A pale lager beer, with low bitterness (around 11 IBU), Original Gravity around 11,5 Plato. Almost no fermentation aroma.

Well, the only purpose of this is to make you drink a lot of it in a brazilian hot day...

Tasted a couple of bottles of this recently. Given to me by my host at a social gathering.

The beer came in a bottle that is flatter left-to-right than front-to-back, if you know what I mean! I was not in a position to pour this brew, but I suspect it would not have made any difference. I think this type of beer is meant to be quaffed in a social setting where you can clink the bottles together.

No particular smell, taste was quite "clean" with a decent freshness. I enjoyed drinking a couple of these, but this is not a drink one would consider ordering in a pub, or even purchasing at your local beer shop for home enjoyment

Quite a light golden straw colour with a thin, centimetre tall head that is bubbly and turns to a soapy lacing after about twenty seconds.

Corn & bread with a little touch of light, grassy hops and a background skunky aroma that isn't helped by the clear bottle of the beer. There is some basic cheap adjuncts in the way of malts as well but the beer isn't offensive in any way and smells better than a lot of cheap pale lagers out there.

Corn and bread along with some malt like adjuncts and a grassy hop background taste. There is a little bit of citrus lemon in there and a slightly acidic taste.

Light but not watered down, slightly grainy but not overly and with medium to strong carbonation and a wet, crisp finish and some sort of citrus tang as well.

Not a great lager but easy drinking and goes down well meaning it will still be my go to beer when no craft offerings are available. Not great but decent as a session beer if nothing else is on offer.

A 330ml clear glass bottle with a BB of July 2011.

Poured into a Sam Smith's pint glass. A clear pale-gold colour with medium carbonation - it looks just the same as in the bottle. Yields a good head of white foam that disappears rapidly. Aroma is so weak it's almost non-existant; a hint of light, bready malt.

Tastes of exceptionally light malt with a hint of sweetness in the background. The merest suggestion of stewed leaves. Mouthfeel is crisp and tingly with a pleasing level of carbonation. Practically no aftertaste.

A very bland lager. I'll damn it with faint praise and admit that it tastes clean, but flavourwise it's a non-event. Acceptable if you're on a beach in Brazil and need refreshment, but in any other circumstances give it a miss.

OK... why not?

Appearance: very pale gold/yellow, flacid layer of white spittle-like foam that slowly fades out of existance

Aroma: like Corona with a little Heineken drizzled into it (can't get any more descriptive than that)

Flavor: soft sweetness with a touch of grain in the background; canned pineapple fruitiness; hint of iron; finishes semi-dry with a "beer-like" aftertaste

Mouthfeel: light body, pin-prick carbonation, soft texture

Other comments: Tesco (a supermarket) dropped the price of a twelve-pack of Brahma from £9.99 to £4.99 because they weren't selling. Looks like it's time for me to try this latest atrocity from InBev (I was very pleased to see that they had to severely slash the price to make it sell). I can now confirm that it is not worth the time, money, effort, and pollution to import something like this to ANY country that has plenty of good beer made within its shores. Keep this crap in Brazil! Having said that, it's drinkable on a hot day if you get it nice and cold.

If I had to summarize this beer in a couple of words I'd choose ; "bottled hype"..."...all the hype has this fizzy pale adjunct selling for more than a bottle of DFH 60 Min. IPA. This is another In-bev all hype international beer with the same dull pale fizzy corn/rice adjunct profile of the degenerated SA export beers: pale yellow, fizzy, no head, clear-crisp-dry-clean rice and corn dextrins in the nose, taste and body,... fast dry finish with no substance in between...there I tried it, it sucks I can live out my life without it.

Thanks to Mike for this Brazilian pilsner tick....The beer pours and unbelievably light color, its almost clear as water, only the slightest tint of yellow. Totally see through. A decent fluffy white head, that tries to make up for the body...Typical aroma for this style sweet corn with skunk...The taste is really light, a hint of sweet and skunk. Not offensive, but can't imagine drinking this for anything but seeking out a glass of water. Could never get my drunk on with this.

Can't recommend this, but if you can't find clean drinking water, this is the next best thing.
