On tap at Scotty's in Bloomington.
Pours murky reddish purple with a small pink head receding quickly. Little lacing.
Smells like a typical fruited wheat beer. Some berries and wheat tang. Not a whole lot going on in the nose.
Nice blackberry tartness up front. Wait for this one to warm up. The first few sips were mediocre, but the blackberry came out a lot more after letting it warm a bit. On the back end are typical Belgian wit qualities although thankfully the blackberry masks them a bit.
Light to medium bodied with light smooth carbonation.
Pleasantly surprised by both a style and brewer I typically don't care much for. This would be more enjoyable on a hot summer day, but it still hit the spot even while cold out.

I have this beer often at Thr3e Wise Men in Broadripple. It pours a nice purple and looks the part of a blackberry wheat beer. Not much by way of a head, but I like the look of this beer.
Smell is of blackberries and with a little bit of bread from the wheat.
This beer tastes like blackberries, but sometimes with this beer the taste is a bit sour. The brewer uses Oregon blackberries and the brew is made year round so I think sometimes the flavor is affected by off season fruit.
Overall this is one of my favorite local beers. Thr3e Wise Men sometimes struggles with consistency, but I love a good Two Lucys virtually every time I stop in for a pint.

Poured from growler into a schooner glass. Pinkish purple color with little head, maybe a finger when poured relatively aggressively. Head does not last and leaves little to no lacing. Smell is mildly sour/fruity, but not in an objectionable way. Very, very hazy even for a wheat, when held up to the light, you cannot see through it.
The tasting is where things all come together. I would guess that most will either love or hate this beer with little in between. I do like most berry fruit beers and so personally really liked it. Very tart, but with some nice subtleties. Very enjoyable and I will definitely pick up again.
I would advise, look out for the BA listing of 4.5 ABV. I jumped into the growler and could feel it. I checked the Thr3e Wise Men site and it is listed at 6.0.
