This brown ale pours a dark brown with tan head that settles into a ring around the rim with some lacing. I’m not getting much on the nose other than a faint aroma of roasted malts. Tastes like a decent brown ale, but (as suggested by the nose) not a lot of complication or breadth of flavor. Some toasty nuttiness and malt. This might be a good choice for someone who dislikes hops and/or isn’t very experienced drinking craft beer. Has a lot of carbonation, which I usually like but this is maybe too much. Overall this is the best three wise men brewery beer I have tried. I wouldn’t drink it regularly or take it home, but it’s ok once in a while at the pub.

First look says we have a brown, however first taste lacked the depth that I expect from a traditional brown and the carbonation was too high.
There are way too many excellent choices to ever look for this one on the shelf.

Wife really liked this one. Nice nutty flavor without being too sweet. Great choice on tap from the local brewer Indianapolis. Scotty's Brewhouse Lafayette IN.

Appearance: Very dark brown with only hint of lace.
Aroma: Subtle. A little nutty with touch of roastiness.
Taste: Perfectly balanced, with roasted coffee malts. Sweet but with enough hops to transcend the usual English style brown ale. Solid and enjoyable.
